Kathy didn't look for it the second and third times she was there. Neither did Chet (because he knew Ozzy already had it).

Aras didn't look for it because he knew Terry had it

But Kathy and Chet were still both this season, which is what the question is about. As for Aras (or anyone else) knowing someone else had it, that's not the same as "giving up an opportunity to look for the Idol", since looking would be futile.

I looked for it everytime I was there. When Ami was doing something else, and I just told Ozzy I wasn't interested so he would go away and swim back and forth. While he was gone I looked for it. Editing made it look like I didn't
