When I first heard about it either in JR High or High school, I was really horrified. I remember asking my mom why didn't they do someothing about it at
the time. She was 18 when pearl harbor was bombed and in college. She said they didn't know, not the general public. So if the gubmint knew, it wasn't
common knowledge about the extermination camps among the regular folks. So because the folks didn't know, there wasn't a groundswell of calls for the
US Government to try to get to the camps sooner to liberate them. At least not by her recollection. I don't feel guilt about it, as I had nothing to do
about it, but am very concerned about the stalemate over there. I don't think there are any easy answers. What we need to do here, though is to stop
funding terror through our petro dollars We need to find alternate sources here (yes, drill in anwar, drill off the coasts of FL and CA) and build more
refineries. We also need to develop alternatives to petroleum for energy without killing the economy, again no easy answers.
