This season IS the best because the editing of chrachters was perfect. Everyone had a part and they made it more of a story then into just constant
stratagizing. We had Sonja, the elderly cancer survivor who was a sweet as could be, BB the crotchity old man who was too bossy, Stacey the weasel who was
pretty much hated by everyone except Kelly, Ramona the young ethnic girl who struggled with the elements and struggled to socialize with her predominantly
white tribe, Dirk the bible thumper who was wasting away, and Joel the sexist guy who called women cows. This was only pre-merger people too. Recent seasons
90% of the pre-merge people are invisible and have no real storyline.
I had a lot of favorites this season, the only people I disliked were Joel, Sean, and Rudy, I pretty much liked everyone else. However my favorite was Ramona, I absolutley adored her. She came into the game sick and struggled so hard to fit in with her tribe because of the time she was sick. She eventually pulled a 180 and started helping in camp and becoming one of the most outgoing members of Pagong only to be voted off because she had been sick earlier. I love Jenna but I hated how she could have cared less about Ramona. While Ramona praised Jenna in confessionals saying she'd be her first real white friend since high school, Jenna basically called her weak and that she needed to go.
I don't like Joel because I found the whole Mr. America persona boring. Sean...well no real survivor fan should like Sean, he had the most idiotic stratagey ever concieved and was just broing. Rudy was just the same as BB. The ONLY difference is that BB was a work horse ad Rudy sat around camp and did virtually nothing to help out camp. I do commend him for opening up his mind and becoming friends with a gay person. But overall he sucked.
