not true... if he were he wouldn't have praised Nikki in top 4 of season 1 and criticized Tamyra... He didn't understand how easily manipulated
the American voting public was yet....
Given HOW bad Tamyra was, there was no way not to criticize her and maintain any credibility. Praising Nikki also seemed to be a no-brainer. He could have spun it a bit, though, if he wanted to influence the voting...
