I think (and hope) in ten years Erik would still lose this game. It is pretty amazing that he has spent the first 22 years of his life in an environment so secure that he would believe something so ridiculous. Kinda like Charlie Brown and the football. I know the characters we see on the tv show are not exactly the same as the real people, but I would hope that Erik's reflection on his experience would be that he has many good qualities, just not the ones to be successful on Survivor.

Jason, our other very young adult, I think lost because he over-estimated himself. I think Erik lost because he over-estimated other people.
