Why on earth do they stand in the back of a pickup truck to speak? Can the place not spring for a podium?

And why does Guam and Puerto Rico get to vote anyway? I just don't get that. Do the US Virgin Islands also have a say? How about the Bahamas?

Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands get to vote for the nominees because their people are American citizens living in American territory, just like the people of the District of Columbia. They don't get to vote in the general election though.

The Bahamas don't get to vote for the president because that's not U.S. territory.
