Well, I think that pretty much solves it. Regardless of the other scores and crap like that, the primary focus of the newspaper (Sox/Yanks) indicates August
31, 2007, so I'm fine to roll with that until Darlton states otherwise.
Which means that Jack takes anywhere from 8-12 months to "hit rock bottom" (aka. his FF in TTLG), and then a minimum of, I'd say, another 8 months for them to get back to the island in time for S6? I dunno. I must be thinking way too far into the future.
Either way, it's good to have a fixed point in time. We should use 8/31/07 as one of the cornerstones of this timeline (just like the October 2005 date in Ben's FF) and have everything be relative to those dates, something like this:
November 2004-January 2005
• Michael and Walt make it to Manhattan, Michael ends up working for Ben on the freighter (this occured as a FB, but is used as a frame of reference).
• Rescue
July/August 2005
• Sun has baby. Hurley and Sun visit Jin's grave.
October 21, 2005
• Ben visits Iraq and tells Sayid that Widmore's man killed Nadia (whom Sayid had found and married). Meets Widmore in London and vows to kill Penny.
• Sayid working for Ben killing people (ongoing from Oct 2005 to ???)
Between October 21, 2005 - August 31, 2007
• Hurley returns to the asylum and is visited by Jack (Hurley didn't know that Jack was dealing with Aaron, so this is based on inference, not solid fact)
• Kate's trial, Jack testifies on her behalf (may have happened prior to Hurley's commitment)
• Sayid kills man on golf course, hunts The Economist (occured in winter, so either right when Sayid begins working for Ben, or a year or so later. May even occur after 8/31/07)
August 31, 2007
• Jack, Kate, and Aaron are living together.
• Jack goes to see Hurley in asylum after Hurley's doctor calls. Hurley tells Jack about Charlie's message that he can't raise "him" (possibly meaning Aaron) and that he'll get a visitor really soon.
• Jack proposes to Kate. She says yes. They're engaged.
• Jack sees Christian (his dad) at the office late one night, begins taking pills prescribed to him by Darcy.
• Kate comes home to Jack being drunk as fuck, reveals she was "doing something" for Sawyer. Jack implies he knows that he's related to Claire/Aaron. (This actually occured a week after Jack's visit to Hurley, but kept together for fluidity of logic)
After August 31, 2007 (around April/May 2009???)
• Jack grows a beard and abuses substances. (Originally thought to be April 2007, almost definitively disproven by 2nd Jack FF)
• Jack and Kate meet at night with their cars, Jack tells Kate they should go back.
