What James should have done was gone to Erik and Jason, explain to them what was happening and then get Jason to use the idol. However, Amanda should have done was exactly what she did. She said it herself, Jason dosen't trust her. He would've gone straight to Natalie and Amanda would of been in trouble. Instead, she stayed in the middle and votes with the girls, keeping herself safe. The best she could have done was force a tie, and that would be useless as she herself could of gone home (purple rock). She now has a whole episode to convince Cirie, who would have felt blindsided otherwise. Amanda will have a lot better chance winning against Parvati, Cirie and James rather than Jason, Erik and James. I think that people where wanting Amanda to turn so they assumed it was bad play that she didn't.
