They had to show so much Steph negativity to soften the blow for viewers who would have otherwise been perplexed and disappointed at the outcome if she had been edited the same way as she had been in Palau.

They don't need to devote a season to "why Parvati loses". She's just not that memorable or popular to merit that kind of attention.
