All in all a weak night. This year's competition is starting to look as lackluster as last year's, with no real break-out star.
1. Syesha - solid performance, complete with her "Star Search"-hit-that-note-and-hold-it moment
2. Kristy Lee - I'm shocked, but the big notes were good; the low notes, however, were not; she's the only one who seems to be improving in recent weeks (granted, she did have a lot of room to improve)
3. Breathy Manboy - only because it was a solid, clean performance but enough with the boring ballads already!
4. Dreds - musak. blech.
5. Rocker Dude - despite all the judge over-pimpage, I didn't feel it; a miss for a second week in a row; Is it really a big risk if he does the same damn thing every week??!?!! A true risk would have been for him to sing Mariah AS Mariah would!
6. Brooke - nice start, but mistakes on the piano towards the end threw her off and made for an uncomfortable finish (thanks partly to the EXTREME close-up of her nervous face by the cameraman - nice job, producers.)
7. Carly - yet another play-it-too-safe performance; she has the best voice in the competition but you'd never know it with the crap she chooses to throw at us. Go home!
Brain: Carly, Brooke, Rocker Dude
Heart: Dreds, Rocker Dude, Carly - although I really have stopped caring and will be happy regardless of who goes
Gut: Carly, Syesha, Brooke
