People die in war. Why is this suddenly such a big deal? This squeamishness about war casualities and collateral damage is why it costs so much and takes so long. Somehow in the last 30 years we have been forced into this "nice" warfare and frankly it makes me wonder if we can ever win another war. In any contest a person who is held to rules their opponent is free to ignore will almost always lose.
