Our town did that for the 'big one' a few years ago. They brought in all kinds of acts and the schools and various halls were open; the schoold district provided shuttle busses and at midnight there was fireworks. It was a wonderful way for families to celebrate. It's nice to see some communities are still doing this and Chris is to be commended.
