I love how all the experts on here seem to know who's marketable and who's not... I heard that about Carrie Underwood too by the sucks experts. She's pretty much blown off on here because she's country and I'll admit I'm not a big country music fan but I will give Carrie her dues. she can SANG! ( and rack up awards too )

Melinda peaked at the very beginning. People vote on this show for the singer who improves every week...and Melinda had no improvement to make!
I think it speaks volumes that she's been a back up singer for so many years, singing for some pretty big named artists and yet she's not been signed to a recording contract. Some of the best singers in the world are back-up singers cuz they don't have the right "package" to sell the product. Look at C&C music factory...a few years ago they had that massive hit and it turned out the girl singing was HUGE but the girl they showed singing was HOT.... it's all about image unfortunately and Melinda just doesn't project the right image. |
