Tonight's episode was decent, but I agree with a lot of people here that I don't like where the show is going with certain characters and storylines.
I also hate the George/Izzie pairing and think it came out of nowhere and what I always loved about them was their great platonic friendship and I like his dynamic with Callie for the most part. In my opinion, and I've said it before, Izzie & Karev had the best chemistry and I'm really disappointed the writers didn't go back there. Speaking of Karev, I hope that was the last we've seen of Jane Doe or at least I hope she's gone by next week at the latest.
I think the show will suffer (quality, not ratings-wise) without Addison. She's one of my favorites and I think there was more to explore with her and Sloan or her and Karev.
I felt bad for Meredith tonight, I was waiting for her to have a huge meltdown though. I'm finding I care less and less about she and McDreamy though, and if they're together I want to see more romance. They could give us some more cute scenes. Although this new woman could present problems... surprise, surprise.
I do think next week will be good, but I think a lot of stuff is predictable. Next season I think they need to bring in a few new faces to mix things up before all the staff members have managed to hook up with each other.
