Tarzan's parents had the ability to defend themselves against the leopard so it wasn't as sad when they were mauled to death I agree.

Soldiers make a choice to put their lives on the line. It's tragic when they die but everyone knows it's a possibility.
That being said, I'll admit in horror movies I giggle at people getting hacked up to pieces but it royally pisses me off when a dog gets killed. |

My other, more important point is that the kid who did this is likely to turn into the sort of monster who shoots a dozen people later in life. It should
definitely be reported to the police.

finger poppin fun wrote: exactly. parents who are spoiled brats, who never learned sacrificing what YOU want for your kids, while never teaching their kids that they're not the center of the universe (guilt for lack of sacrifice) is what produces little shits like that. you don't see many parents today, and this is simply my observation in public places, who teach their children that good manners mean putting the comfort of everyone around you first. you don't see too many parents consistently tell toddlers to say please and thank you to the waitress. you see parents in stores that let their children run around the store (mommy's shopping time is important because mommy's more important than the world too!!) and don't remove them from the store when they become a disturbance. you are also seeing the first generation of children whose behavior has been modified by medication begin to grow up. sure, they can sit for hours at the xbox, but not two minutes in the classroom, and the parents are to lazy/guilty to discipline them, so onto meds they go. as teenagers, they've been used to being medicated since first or second grade, but now, they rebel, and stop taking them. no one seems to question the change that may have caused in brain chemistry over the years. i think we're seeing only the beginning of what's going to happen. |

any human life is more valuable to society than a random cat that was probably going to die within the next 10 years anyway ^_^
I think some of the cat ladies here would still be sadder for the cat if a random civilian suffered a similar death tbh. |

NAJ WHAT IS YOUR AV FROM
And yeah, that's pretty fucked up. There were a few teens not too far from here about a year ago who broke into somebody's house and microwaved their cat while they were out, leaving a "ha ha. Look in the microwave" note for them to find. They were protected under the juvenile act from their names getting out, but someone who knew them posted who they were on their Facebook page, and many death threats ensued for them after that. I remember hearing the families of the little pricks had to leave town for a while because of it. |
