Because edgically, a bad merge episode eliminates you.Nope :)

Bolded = Non-UTR, above vis.1. This is edgic because these are edgic ratings.
Also notice how no MAN (and there is a difference between how men and women are edited) is below vis 3. The exception is obviously Ethan, 16 seasons ago.
Edgically supported characters that lost and had a bad edit at the merge:
Sally - UTR2
Cirie - UTR2
Danielle - INV1
Yau-Man - UTR2
Cirie 2 - UTR2
Your quote:*Interesting that I've always given the winner a CP in the merge episode, which probably speaks that the merger episode is very important for winner insight nowadays. Thanks for playing.
I could argue Bob's feast was UTR1 and he got a statement about Eden. I could also argue that this is a 12-person merge (lots of people to fit into an episode, Mick got a confessional which was pretty important). Also, although he was UTR, he wasn't forgotten/ignored--lots of focus on all FoaFoa's working as a well-oiled machine.
Thanks for playing!
I didn't know the "theme" was so important to edgic, because Monica couldn't win even though she was the first to outline the theme for Samoa! I didn't know eden was especially important, but I guess I forgot that Matty won.
I didn't know a 12-person merge which would benefit Mick's viability was a better argument than this being Survivor: Russell which would consider any Galu's viability.
I didn't know anyone who wasn't ignored in the merge episode was edgically viable. Remember, Erinn had a TERRIBLE merge edit right?!?!
I didn't know that you'd so quickly change your tune from "EDGIC GUIDELINES FOR LIFE!!!?!?!" to "how does this fit Mick?".
I didn't know you were so bad at arguing when you were backed up against the wall.
