Jeez, and to think if Mark didn't flip at Talladega he'd be right there with the little prick.

73 points...if Mark runs the table, he'll need Jimmie to average like...7th or worse.
If he doesn't win out and gets top 5's, we'll need the 48 to average like 15th or worse. |

How many races left?

I'm going to say very quietly that this isn't going to change the ultimate outcome of the chase. JJ would have to wreck the exact same way for the next
2 races to have any real effect. He'll still win, it's just a matter of by how much. Hell, he could wreck out the next 2 races and still win.

Hoping, HOPING that Marky Mark can end up snatching this Cup away from GayJay and his smug bunch.

Mark's big problem i've noticed is he's had a lot of top 5 finishes where he didn't lead a lap. 5 points here and 5 points there, and then
finishing a spot or 2 higher here and there really could have went a long ass way.
That finish was hilarious when Kurt won and you have like a 30 second pause as the other cars were coasting to the finish. They said if Mark got maximum points the last two weeks and JJ finishes 4th or worse both times Mark would win, or something close to that. Mark needs something to happen to JJ yet but probably not as extreme as today. It sucks to know it could have been more points he gained |

smartguy24 wrote:Sounds good. So next Sunday, let's see, go to church, eat chili dog and Tab for lunch, take a walk around the block during the race, and make a pan of mac and cheese. I could go on board with that. |

Cake, that sounds so good.
I have to be driving again, but in the opposite direction next week, I hope that won't jinx us. Also, instead of being in my hometown state, I will actually be north of the race there 3 hours, driving over to Los Angeles. I hope I am not the fucktard who jinxes the jinx!!!! |

No, that might be me, because I'm fighting a respiratory infection. I'm hoping that by next week i'm a little more productive than I was today.

I raked leaves for 2 1/2 hours today. I have zero interest in repeating that next weekend. But - I promise to not turn the race on until 1/2 way thru.

not Nascar, but Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena from World Rally are visiting my company today
Car racing is big here - there's a whole channel devoted to it (or cars, at least) and another channel devoted to horses (nightly sulky races are televised) |

it was funny watching Chad stomping off to JJ's car after the wreck.
it didn't hurt my feelings ears won. and it was double sweet that there's a new millionaire because of it. what a pick!! and I did get tickled at the LONG pause waiting to see who would be 2nd. |
