I usually take the opinion that winners are by default the best players of their seasons and that finalists are right behind. Nothing else about your game matters if you don't make it to the Final Tribal, so I guess the best women to not win would have to also be finalists for me. Not only that, they'd have to be finalists who I thought were as good as their male counterparts, and whom I would have been happy with winning.

Kelly probably stands out as number one, since I wanted her to win back in Borneo. At the same time, her game was very physical and I can't say I regret that she didn't win the first season. We've had very likable, physical winners like her since Borneo, but Richard winning set the tone for the show that has made it the most enjoyable over the past ten years.

I think Neleh, Twila, Cassandra, Amanda, and Susie are also finalists who I thought were as good or better than the winners of their seasons. Amanda does get a certain edge because she made the finals twice and, at the very least, earned my respect despite abysmal Jury performances. Cassandra would have greatly benefited from having a F2 like she planned. Neleh, Twila, and Susie suffered from very bitter Juries whom they had screwed over.
