This whole thread is some sort of bizarre tongue-in-cheek groupthink shtick. (I hope). If you seriously can't see why people would prefer "one of the most dramatic finishes in race history" and some of the only decent quotes of the season over deadweight like Gary/Matt, the Globetossers and Cardboard/Cardboard, you are seriously flawed. |

I assume you're also fans of all the worst teams in sports, the least talented but most insane artists, and so on and so forth?
Because the normal part of society likes to see people good at what they do succeed at it, and people bad at what they do fail at it. |

Because the normal part of society likes to see people good at what they do succeed at it I forgot how many millions of viewers tune into the annual 'Counting Bells and Eating A Herring Championships' get 
Most people prefer stories that have some kind of drama instead of people being competent: if Anna Karenina was the story about a happy couple saying "good job, babe!" and having a bland supportive relationship, it would have been pretty fucking boring. If you like people who are competent, you should hate the Globetrotters for their inability to tell the time. |

I just realized something...
If the producers would have made the second Dubai leg a non-elimination... Mika and Canaan would have probably incurred a time penalty for completing the waterslide but they would have been spared from elimination. Fast forward to the next leg and even with whatever time penalty they would have received the Poker Girls would have still QUIT. Hence, Mika and Canaan would have sailed through once again ever more building on their horrible placement history (<3) ON TOP OF ALL THIS: Canaan can no longer do roadblocks (assuming he does the bell tower thing. and with a question like "who has strong legs?" mika would have probably opted out of it) this means Mika would have done the hay bales roadblock. How fucking epic would that have been? ^ all this? reasons why this season failed. |

They were really a unique team. They were such goofs and then they had that amazing elimination. I felt compassion bad for them! Especially poor Canaan.

Are you guys still dating?And TVGuide.com: TVGuide.com: And you guys are still together. The waterslide didn't break you up.I guess they got back together since the Race ended. But yeah, Zev as the rebound was funny. And that was after the shaman told him he was having girlfriend problems. |
