More deserving champions than Jensen? About half the field. If he had any self respect, he should retire now.

Jenson the champ... huh. It won't happen again. I don't know whose dad is more annoying either. Button or Hamilton? Is Jenson named after the car? I
like to think so anyway.
The beginning was action packed. Really entertaining. Accidents galore, drivers fighting, and a flaming fuel hose. Good stuff. And a deserved win by Webber. |

I feel for Rubens playing second bananna again and, upon further review, Jensen did have an agressive drive AND the Interceptor is a sweet car.
Rule Britania! On to the traditional hot spot of international racing, Abu Dhabi... what? |

I don't have anything against Button, and I'm sort of glad he clinched, despite my Rubens fanboy outlook. It's nice to remind folks that not every season comes down the a final pass on the final lap of the season. You string together 6 or 7 commanding wins at the start of the season and then "back in" to the win? Still, this was the most fucked up season I've seen since getting the F1 bug in 2000. BAR, Honda. Brawn doing what they did? BMW dropping out? Force Fucking India? Interesting that the very last drive of note that Kimi had for the Scuderia, somebody tried to set him on fire. |

Not ignoring you guys... actually I am. Didn't get to see the race yet and this thread getting bumped with regularity is driving me mad and getting me
paranoid.
Last post until I watch the race later tonight. |

Good race. Jensen raced strong. Opening laps were crazy. The Brawn car fell off as the others caught up to their technology. Jensen did get lazy in the middle
of the season, but he deserves it even if it wasn't exciting.
What this really proves is that Ross Brawn deserves his seat with the all-time great Formula One minds. |

I agree about Ross Brawn. He seemed tuned into things nobody else can see. All those years Honda was brutal with some supposed good minds there. Jenson can
thank Ross since he really is only an average driver with a good car.
I really wanted Rubens to do well. He really doesn't have much luck. But more than poor Heidfeld. Running out of gas? come on. Jenson did drive a good race. I've never seen him so aggressive. He always has been too laid back and waiting things out. Abu Dhabi? Is anyone going to care except Bernie? |

I forgot what passing was like. Hopefully next season, without KERS ( Sorry, Sir Frank ) we'll see more.
Kobayashi held his own, but was all over the track blocking. Lots of dangerous moves in the race. |

Jean Todt elected new FIA President.

That's good news, right? No more Max. Todt's a class act too, although I still want to know how the little troll wound up boinking Michelle Yeoh, who
oddly enough I just saw the 3rd Mummy movie.
I still can't get over the opening laps of Brazil. What chaos. |

It's a good thing. Todt is a great manager of people and problems. He didn't earn the nickname Napoleon for nothing... well for being a French
midget... but for being a great leader as well.

Abu Dhabi is surprising good for a new track. Room to pass and some challenging corners. I'd prefer gravel in the run off areas though. You fuck up
you're out kind of thing.
It was all very pretty and spacey looking. Kind of sterile and clean. But it was an enjoyable race. Hamilton out, Vettel winning and some action on and off. Next year looks promising for Toyota with Kobayashi. Now it's wait and see who ends up where. I wouldn't be surprised of Kimi overprices himself and Heidfeld ends up at McLaren. |

I wanted so much to hate Abu Dhabi ( and that Ferrari-land pavilion ), but that is one awesome course. REALLY awesome. The only thing missing, other than trees
and stuff, were any changes in elevation. Watching at the Glen really gave a great appreciation of the up and down of a good natural circuit. Bummer is the
lack of pit babe skin at these venues...
I was expecting a dicey race. Too bad about Lewis and he and Vettel seemed pretty well matched. I liked Webber's post-race comments - Subtle jabs at Brawn and how the second half of the season was more indicative of who had the best cars. Most have nice things to say about Jensen, but I wonder what people really think about his championship. As an aside, I was surprised at the negative things Striling Moss said about Graham Hill in a recent 'Motorsport' issue - That he was slow and too aggressive. Sour grapes perhaps, but interesting... Anyhow, all we know now is Rubens Barrichello and Nico Hulkenberg will drive for Williams, Bridgestone is out after 2010 and it looks like Kobayashi has pwnt Nakajima out of any seat. Hopefully this will keep Toyota in the series. |

Stirling Moss is the best driver never to win a championship by far. I'd rate him higher than Hill, just like I'd rate Alesi or Berger higher than
Damon Hill.
Kobayashi could actually be the first real Japanese racer with any chance at a championship. I liked the track too. Much better than Dubai. Not very flowing though. A bit Mickey Mouse. Feels more like a fancy street circuit. No memorable or epic corners. Still better than most new tracks. Of all the newer tracks, Malaysia is still my favourite. Visually stunning. Memorable corners, and fun to drive (on a sim of course). |

Tie-yoto pulls out of F1 effective immediately. Guess that means the Sauber team will be back in.

I finally got around to watching the race -- NFL takes priority when the championship's been decided -- and loved it.
Agreeance on the love for Abu Dhabi -- sleek and modern. How does the big straightaway compare the main straightaway at Indy? Plus that little tunnel is sooooo kewt. Malaysia's always been a little meh for me, but since I've been there, kind of a fave. The new tracks at Valencia and Bahrain suck like Bernie after a day spent running after new money, so I expected to hate it too. Maybe it's due to lowered expectations. You have to admit the LCD-covered hotel is awfully cool regardless. I'd like to go to a race there. I wonder what they'll do with the facility when F1's not in town. Too bad the Weasel retired but as they pointed out, that was his first mechanical retirement. There couldn't have been a better time for that to have happened. Loved Button tangling with Webber at the end of the race for 2nd. I viewed that as a statement that, hi, I've spent the last half of the season having to cover my ass. Now that I don't, let's race. Damn near got him, too. Also love this Kobayashi guy. Most new drivers spend a race or two getting the lay of the land. This fucker? Punch them in the mouth and sort it out later. |

That's the way for a rookie to come in.
Speaking of rookies, Brawn GP is no more. It has ceased to exist. It is an ex-team. Mercedes has bought a 70% share of the team and it will be called Mercedes Grand Prix next year. Brawn came in and went out as champions in 1 year. Has that ever been done before? |

As for Mercedes GP, I have to give the edge to Hamilton over Button. Jessica just doesn't do it for me like that crazy bitch Nicole!

Schumacher signs 3 year deal (1 year plus optional 2 years) with Mercedes (Brawn).
It's going to be weird cheering against Schumi and for Alonso. GO ALONSO! Schumacher could have been part of Ferrari forever. Fans will turn on him a bit for abandoning the team. |

Piranhahaha |

Yeah why isn't he going back to Ferrari? Did they jump the gun signing Alonso? I always get the idea that when these big driver swaps happen, it's not
unlike a game of musical chairs.
Whatever else is going on, it's not as bad as Button breaking with Brawn. Meanwhile, my local radio news station just reported this story on the air. I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've ever them mention anything about F1. |
