I actually think Corgan's right to some extent. He screwed up when he got to the man-made bit, of course. But H1N1 media stories/press releases have been
fear-mongering in its finest. That is how the goverment always gets the general public to do what it wants (ie supporting a war or getting a vaccine).
And yeah, flu vaccines should always be voluntary. |

Personally, if I were in an area with several reported cases I'd get vaccinated myself and would suggest the same to those close to me. But I don't like the idea of it being mandated by the state under penalty of fine or incarceration. Call me crazy but I kinda dig on liberty. Vaccinations are as important for society as schooling for kids, laws against murder, etc. This really isn't an example of too much governmental power. |
