My 14 yo daughter and friends are watching Paranormal Activity right now, started 10 minutes ago. Then she's spending the night at said friends. I told her
NOT to call me crying tonight because I refuse to come get her after my few beers! lol! I watched it already with the original ending 2007 (*cough, *onlline*
cough, hey a mom's gotta kept check on what her kid is watching!) and didn't think it was too bad for her to see. Now I hear about the theater ending
and think she may crap her pants!

Um, most 14 year olds are fingerfucking their boyfriends up the ass whilst at the cinema. I doubt a few rustling bedclothes are going to perturb the little
minx.

The Box is basically a good Twilight Zone episode stretched into nearly 2 hours. Hack away the extra 90 minutes and it's almost perfect. But damn some of
the filler drags and is completely pointless. And it's not scary or frightening at all, mostly unintentionally amusing.
The Fourth Kind is getting shittacious reviews but I think I'll still see it...I did see The Stepfather also and aside from the copious amounts of shirtless Penn Badgley it's not worth a look. It does have potential for about the first 40 minutes but then it just spins its wheels until the finale. |

Is it just my imagination or does the old man in the ads for The Box have like, half a face.

Trick 'r Treat was perfection. I am so glad they're making a sequel (and I hope it's just as good).

i really love the trick r treat movie.
i was wondering about the part where the girl in the witch costume comes through the front yard filled with jack o lanters that she said she carved..... (ummm..maybe spoilery i guess?): near the end we see that the front yard full of jack o lanterns was the old busdrivers house....so was witch girl one of the ghost/zombie kids too? in other news, my teen daughter saw the fourth kind last night and told me it sucked. and she is certainly no discerning movie viewer.she said it was like watching a documentary about aliens on discoverychannel. then late last night she started talking about all the actual documentary footage used in the film and said that part of it was very creepy. |

Watched Trick R Treat, I thought it was okay I really liked the way it was shot rather than the actual story(s).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpxI-VKN-DI On the other hand this was an excellent horror film, it was the story of a group of youth prisoners sent to an island for rehabilitation. What makes it so great is you really wind up rooting for the killer or the kids at different points in the film. |

Yeah you either love Polanski films or are put to sleep by them.
Anyways got around to seeing Orphan, great horror film most of the time child actors suck but both little girls in Orphan were great... saw the plot twist coming miles away though |

Paranormal seems like one of those movies that only works the first time you see it. It gets worse with subsequents views [see The Grudge].
