40-1; Arizona voters rejected a gay marriage ban in 2006.

There's still hope for Washington's "Everything But Marriage" referendum. It's winning by a small margin right now.

hmmm citizen postal you realise you are contradicting your own point dont you.....yes homosexual relationships have been accepted by previous societies but
ours is the first (that i know of) to begin to accept man/man and woman/woman relationships that serve the same purpose as man/woman relationships. which is
the whole raising children building blocks of society thing. which is what you said marriage describes/legitimises/whatever. which means your argument makes no
sense.

Still missing the whole opposite sex thing, but an interesting perspective none the less. I shall have to ponder this. |

The one in California might have passed if it wasn't run by stupids with no political acumen at all.

Fuck political acumen, I'm too old and impatient for that shit. Not that I want to marry my other half, mind you. It's just the principle of the thing.
I'm going to go set some cars on fire, see you in a few!

Yeah I actually read up that it was more along the lines. Won't they like realize they are not winning this battle? This shit should never be put to a vote in the first place, maybe when they realize this then there will be progress. |

This shit shouldn't be left up to voters. It's a matter for the state courts, i.e. like Iowa did it.
Oh, and my hetero marriage is still going strong six months after the gays and lesbians can get legally married here, too. I'm just bummed that I haven't been invited to a gay/lesbian wedding yet. |
