I don't think any big box store is actually "qualified" at selling electronics. My son has 2 friends who work at Best Buy on the sales floor. They had 6 hours of "training" to become qualified to sell you a tv. I don't think either of them even owned their own tv's before working there.

Do research, check tech sites and read reviews. I'd buy a tv from Walmart before I'd buy one from Best Buy based solely on their return policy. You practically have to give up your first born child to get anything but in-store credit at Best Buy AND they charge a 15 % restocking fee unless defective.

Isn't Walmart something similiar though. Granted I believe you receive 90 Days but the bases of their return policy makes you take the similiar product (if open) even if said product was junky from the start. I'd rather take in-store credit from Best Buy. There are other stores out there besides Best Buy.

The return policies aren't even close....especially around the holidays. I don't know where you live, but around here Target and Walmart are really the only competition Best Buy has now. There are always smaller chains, but you're going a hell of a lot more for the product simply because they don't get the same wholesale deals from manufacturers.

Restocking fee

So even if you pay in cash, they mail you a check because they claim they don't have 250.00+ dollars just laying around (an associates words)
