I have to disagree on Janelle's nominations because it was just one side after another. It was all about competitions at that point and no telling who was
"stronger" without going on hindsight. Going after Jennifer was eye for an eye and it sent a message. That's as opposed to Howie's nomination
of James was pure dumbass. James going after Chicken George on BBAS was the result of him having alliances with everyone else and trying not to piss anyone
off. Don't you remember how angry he was that he had to put Jase up? He knew Jase would go when he didn't want that at all. He needed someone to go
after the others in his supposed S6 alliance that he was never really with at all.

Chilltown almost pulled it off though, had Justin stayed and Krista voted out Nicole (which was not unreasonable given Krista's ties to Chilltown) Nicole
could have very likely left week 1. I'd guess that it would have happened.

Certainly happy to write this one! 27. Ronnie's week 2 escapades
The story: Ronnie, who is undoubtingly the most detestable contestant in Big Brother history, attempted in the first week of the house to play both sides of the house (Jessie-Natalie-Russell-Lydia-Kevin-Chima vs. Laura-Jordan-Jeff-Michelle-Casey-Braden), and was fairly successful in doing it, in reality siding with Jessie's side of the house. Ronnie made it to the final 2 in the next HOH competition, and was in the position where had he thrown it, he would have been 100% safe since Michelle, being in his clique, would be unable to nominate him. Instead, he chose to go all out and won HOH, forcing him to truly show to all what side he was on. On top of that, Ronnie's behavior of trying to play sides with the opposite side of the house made him rather untrustworthy to the people he truly was aligned with. Throughout much of his HOH week Ronnie promised that he would be backdooring Russell, but when it came down to that, he chickened out of it and nominated Jordan instead. It was not long before pretty much the entire house had realized what a lying rat he was, leading to what was probably the best footage of the season, Ronnie barricading himself in his HOH room and Russell harrassing him every time he stepped out of it. Ronnie's actions during this week were enough to completely kill his game and while he was safe in week 3 because Jessie won HOH, Russell won HOH in week four, nominated him, and to the glee of the entire viewing audience, Ronnie went home. Why it was dumb: Similar to Brian a couple of entries ago, Ronnie schemed way too hard and too much. He behaved for too long like he was on the side of the house that he had no intentions of being with. He would have been 100% safe and could have continued to play to both sides of the house in a more successful manner had he thrown the competition to Michelle. Plus, his repeated promises to nominate Russell and chickening out of doing it not only gave certain people in the house even more reason to be pissed at him, it would guarantee that Russell, who was one of the strongest members of the house would get rid of him once he got a chance to do so, and that's exactly what happened. The counterargument: There is none. He doesn't deserve it! :P Next time:

I really think that if you're gonna lump them all together, Ronnie needs to be MUCH higher on the list. I mean, individually, I could understand some of
those things being this low, but combining them is top ten material.

I don't know if I'd go as high as top 10, but will admit some of these I had a very hard time ranking against one another and ultimately decided to put
this one here due to its similarities with #29 and the next entry. Probably a tad too low, giving that disgusting pile of shit too much mercy.

26. Natalie gives up in endurance again, and plays both sides too much
The story:
Why it was dumb: Like many other players on this list, Natalie was playing a tad too hard, and was not sincere enough in her efforts, enough so that it was the other women in fact who went to Ryan and Adam about Natalie trying to set up an all girls alliance, causing Natalie to publically out her true intentions to Sheila. She lied way too much and it finally caught up with her. And she should have known better than anyone that she shouldn't have dropped in that endurance challenge after what happened the previous time. The counterargument: Not much defending to do here. Probably can't blame her for voting out James considering their history and that her vote wouldn't have been enough to save him, although she probably shouldn't have tried things with him in the first place. The other stuff is pretty much inexcusable. Next time: |

If people think I put this one too high... well, maybe I did. Guess its good that I get it out of the way then! 25. Kaysar lets go of the button
The story: After the first four weeks of Big Brother 6, America had the opportunity to vote back in a member of the house. America overwhelmingly chose Kaysar, the leader of the sovereign alliance, who was booted because he made himself out to be such a mastermind and strategic threat. Immediately after he entered the house Kaysar was in a challenge known as the pressure cooker, where houseguests had to keep their finger on a button. Whomever was the last person with their finger on the button won HOH. As the hours went by and more and more people dropped out, it was down to Kaysar, and Jennifer, a member of the opposing alliance. After some sobbing from Jennifer and a promise that she'd backdoor James, using members of her own alliance as pawns, Kaysar let go of the button, and the rest is history. Jennifer put up two members of Kaysar's alliance instead of her own, and after one of them, Rachel, won veto and took herself off, Jennifer put Kaysar up and he was evicted a mere week after returning. Why it was dumb: Kaysar was just way too gullible and believed Jenn too much, when Jenn had all the reasons in the world to lie. What she said was too good to be true, and it was. That he believed she would put up members of her own alliance as pawns was foolhardy. Kaysar also stayed in the challenge so long that he came off not only as a strategic threat, but now a physical threat as well. The counterargument: Admittingly, Kaysar was also screwed in part due to his own alliance members, who the previous week agreed to get rid of James/Sarah, then started trying to get members of the friendship to vote out Ivette after she was James's replacement nominee, making it all the easier for the friendship to not be completely on their side. Aside from that? Shouldn't have let go. One should only give up in endurance when they know they're 100% safe. 24. Ollie believes Dan's deal
The story: At final seven in Big Brother 10, the final two in the endurance HOH competition were Dan and Ollie. Dan was able to convince Ollie to agree to a deal where not only would Ollie be safe, Dan would also allow Ollie to protect someone (Michelle), choose one of the nominees, and choose the replacement nominee if it came to that. A deal too good to be true! And it was. Ollie agreed to it and dropped. Dan was good to the deal at first, keeping Ollie and Michelle safe and nominating Ollie's choice as Memphis as second nominee. Once Memphis won the veto, Ollie requested that Keesha go up, which of course was never going to happen. Dan, after staging a ridiculous replacement nomination roulette thing that was a nominee for this list (something I passed on putting in it though), put up Michelle. Both her and Ollie flipped out, and thankfully, due to a fast forward night, both left the same night that Thursday! :) Why it was dumb: Like Kaysar in the previous entry, Ollie was way too gullible, this time to an absurd level. He was expecting far too much from Dan, stuff that was so ridiculous he was never going to deliver it all. That he actually believed him for so long and it took that veto ceremony for him to finally realize what was going on shows what a fool he was. He was a horrible player leeching off April for the entire game and made a fool of himself immediately after she was evicted. The counterargument: Don't really have one on this one! Next time: |

OMG, another update! Finally!
The story: By F9 in the Big Brother 5 house, Scott and Jase, whom most of the house despised were finally both gone and the new HOH Adria took things in a new direction by nominating Marvin and Will, who was an ally up to that point. She did so with pretty much no notice beforehand and essentially made it out to be a bigoted decision, because Marvin was black and Will was gay. Furthermore Adria acted drunk with power, demanding that the houseguests make the eviction vote a tie so she could be responsible for making the final decision and voting Will out. Adria got her wish, but her behavior sickened the rest of the house to the extent that she and twin sister Natalie because the prime target of the rest of the house. Both were nominated for eviction the next week and while a veto win saved Adria for that week, she left the next week right after her sister. Why it was dumb: Writing this thing up and recalling how it happened made me realize that I ranked it too high, but ah well, nothing I can do about that now! Adria went on way too big a power trip, and failed to realize how vulnerable she'd be the next week. She went on such a power trip that she and her sister essentially became the new Jase and Scott and became the target of most of the house. The counterargument: From a strategic standpoint, Adria getting Will out made sense. She just went about it the wrong way. Nominating Karen against Will probably would have made more sense, but at the end of the day she was able to get Will out. Doing it in the way she did through didn't spell good for her chances going forward.
