So very smart to cast 4 Sci-Fi legends in this, especially those with talent.
Although it moved a little too quickly for my tastes, I really enjoyed it, especially the back half of the episode.
It has a solid direction, a unique yet not exxagerated feel, and a really talented cast. Tudyk was a very pleasant surprise, him being a V was a nice little shock, him being killed was totally predictable, and low and behold he will be back.
Morenna Baccarin (Anna) and Elizabeth Mitchell (Erica) are two of the best female talents you can ever hope to find. On their own, they would make this show interesting and dynamic. Add all the other great talent and a writing staff who seem to know where they are going with everything - you have success at your fingertips!
lolwhu?
Well I know you hate Tudyk (and maybe Baccarin), but the fact that any main-cast member from Firefly/Serenity made not just Sci-Fi history but television history really can't be refuted. That fact alone makes those two "legendary"... not to mention the fact they are also just incredibly talented actors.
Joss Whedon is a hack who writes fanfic for teenage girls. And Firefly was canceled after what, 4 episodes?

... 13 EPISODES!
I'm not here to change anybody's opinion on Whedon, Firefly, Serenity, or anything else. I'm simply stating the fact that yes, a cancelled sci-fi series had such a strong following it was green-lit for a major motion picture, makes it a historic project and by proxy it's main cast members legendary. They are widely respected, admired, and automatically draw an audience.
V has potential to be a very good series. And all I'm saying is casting people who are identified with some strong sci-fi sensabilities, who you know can draw and perform at a high level is smart.
