1. Yoshimi Yahagi (Blondzilla5150): 6th Place

And at long last, the list ends with the most epic player of the season. When I first started this list, Mitsuko was number one and Yoshimi was only number three, but as I progressed further, I becgan to remember just how amazing she really was. Early on, Mitsuko, Satomi, Yuko and Yukie were the first girls to show up for their tribe and as happens in ORGs sometimes, they quickly formed an alliance based solely on showing up first. It sucked to see, because Yoshimi and Takako were both kinda screwed over just by the fact that they showed up a little later than the others. Takako got out of it by moving to the other tribe, but Yoshimi was basically brought in as a Bob, the fifth member to a firmly-established, four-person alliance. And when Kaori and Hirono were voted out, she was someone I didn't want to see go home because she deserved better than that.

Pre-merge, however, Yoshimi had two main plotlines. First, she was Mitsuko's BBIC (Baby Bitch In Charge), to the point where even though she was outside of the main alliance, Mitsuko and I think also someone else, wanted to keep her around over either Yukie or Satomi. Not entirely sure. But this alliance with Mitsuko, despite being forced forward mainly by Yoshimi, led to a love you don't see very often in games. Yoshimi had the biggest ho-mance of the season, with her infatuation of Mitsuko. Again, this will come up again post-merge.

The second plotline was the fact that Yoshimi was the biggest hater of Kazushi. Yes, Satomi hated him openly, and he returned the hatred. But the level of vitriol and disgusted Yoshimi would spray against Kazushi in her confessional was what helped Kazushi come off as epically as he did. The funniest part of her hatred was that at one point, just so as to avoid being targetted, Yoshimi started up an alliance with Kazushi and wound up flirting with him and having hot, angry sex. And then the very next round, she hated him all over again, with even more violence than before. It was no surprise how quickly she jumped onboard the boot train and took out her biggest rival.

With Kazushi gone and a jury spot guaranteed, Yoshimi actually started to seem like a potential winner. She went quiet for a few rounds as Takako and Toshinori self-destructed, and then came her break-out moment. At the final seven, Mitsuko was unstoppable and Yoshimi believed herself to be Mitsuko's loyal number two (actually, Yuko was). The girls outnumbered the guys and Hiroki was going home. But that was the round that Yuko finally grew a spine and put herself in the running to win the game. In the most epic blindside of the season to that point, Yuko teamed up with Yukie, Shinji and Hiroki to completely eliminate Mitsuko from the game. Yoshimi...didn't take it well.

And by that, I mean she went completely postal. There was a topic on the main board that filled up with about 30 posts, all photoshops of Yoshimi and Mitsuko, including the motivational poster posted above. Yoshimi basically went batshit insane. She literally broke down, and it's because of this that I compare Blondzilla to Lydia Tavera. And the funny thing was, Yoshimi wasn't completely dead in the water once Mitsuko was gone. She still had a strong chance of survival due to residual Mitsuru hatred and the fact that the girls and the guys were still very tenuous in their alliance. But her going insane was what showed Yukie and Yuko that she couldn't be relied upon, and thus, she became the target. Yoshimi didn't care. She thought she was going home. She didn't even realize that Mitsuru was thinking the same exact thing, and neither one of them had even the slightest desire to try and throw the other under the bus.

Going into tribal council, Hiroki hated Mitsuru, and he wanted him gone, so he told Yoshimi to do the same. She didn't give a shit and wanted revenge for the loss of her beloved Mitsuko. She and Mitsuru teamed up against useless Yukie, who they hated for being so useless. Yukie, for reasons I'm still not sure of, voted for Mitsuru, and Hiroki did the same. Meanwhile, both Shinji and Yuko thought they could get Mitsuru on their side, so they took their chances voting for Yoshimi. As a result, we had a tribal council that beat out Mitsuko's, in which I was quite happy to reveal a 2-2-2 split. And the reaction from Yoshimi was PRICELESS. She was like "oh FUCK" when she realized that Hiroki was legitimately trying to help her, and she got voted out in a unanimous 3-0 revote. I almost wanted to just send the vote to a tiebreaker, because Yukie hadn't shown up, and that would've been awesome, but I had to abide by the rules, so Yoshimi was voted out, only to find out, again like Lydia, that her Jessie (Mitsuko) loved someone else more. Yoshimi was such a wonderful mix of trainwreck and player that I couldn't help but give her the victory on this list.
