I don't think it's a big deal, there will probably be Glee people in the parade just NBC would rather not cover a whole float dedicated to the show.

But, no matter who's fault it is, fans will agree that Heroes has never quite regained that first season magic. The ratings have been falling like a flightless Peter Petrelli jumping off of that roof in the pilot episode. Rising production costs have already seen NBC make several changes to the show. According to Nikki Finke at Deadline.com, the latest casualty is actor Adrian Pasdar who has portrayed lead character Nathan Petrelli since the very first episode. Now, without spoiling too much for anyone who hasn't been keeping up with the show, given last season's finale, if anyone was on the chopping block, it'd be Pasdar's character. But, given the start of this season, it still seems like a bit of a shock. There still seemed to be plenty of story left for "Nathan." Usually anything involving him is good but it was so pointless, it told us so much we already knew or didn't care about Already knew: Loves his daughter Doesn't like deceiving his family Won't cheat on his wife Is disillusioned with the company Pointless: He had a co-worker that had the hots for him but she had her memory erased so it didn't matter at all. I had just assumed he was already dead since being shot and buried. Also, a big FU to Heroes for not killing someone that would make viewers happy (Hiro, Sylar, Matt) and WTF at Mohinder being back. I think most of us agree that one of the best parts of this season has been his absence.

In no particular order, WHY.... = Did you make Claire related to Peter/Nathan in a complicated backstory that did nothing for the show? All you did was cut off the chemistry that Peter/Claire had. = Did you make Noah a borderline pedo insanely in love for his "Claire Bear"? For that matter, why couldn't she have just been his real daughter? = Did you make Sylar's original brain eating into something...else (whatever it is)? This was one of the more disturbing aspects of his character, and the moment he said he didn't need to do it, all I could think of was, well then why all the brain scooping? = Did you kill off Super Stripper? Not that Tracy isn't fantastically awesome, but in killing her, you lost her husband (awesome power), her son (okay power) and whatever the fuck was going on with the mirrors. = Did you give Ando powers? And Mohinder? = Did you NOT give Hiro some sort of control on his power? Peter too? And Claire for that matter? (And on and on) I have to say, this show is amazing in one particular way - I have NEVER seen a show with such squandered potential. Just from season one, they could have done five more seasons with the story arcs they had going - and then they literally changed everything for reasons that totally baffle me. It's like that focus group episode from the Simpsons where the kids want a cartoon where the characters learn lessons, go on adventures, be young but wise, and travel through time. The result? Poochie. Or in this case, Sylar.

The Heroes powers were genetic and traced through certain families. Some more than others. 2. Noah wasn't supposed to be a major player... one of the best moments from season 1 was the Claire/HRG "dad" reveal. 3 Sylar examined the workings of the brain. Kinda like a clock..he never ate them. 4. yes. yes. 5. At this point I remember that this used to be a well written show and I decided to stop thinking about what a mess it became. Sorry.
