I'm still one of the bad gay Gleeks who has no interest whatsoever in buying (or even obtaining illegally) the songs from the show.
I LOVE the songs the choose (most of the time) and love them in the context of the show, but these just aren't songs I would listen to normally so it would be a waste.
PS: On their Defying Gravity - it's a "pretty" arrangement of the song, not as powerful, as others have said, but I think they'll make it work well. Most of the "power" of that song comes from seeing it live on stage with the parts of the song that were left out. They did a very good job updating the song from Musical Theatre to something pop-listening teens could better relate to. |

What's with all the DG hating? I mean duh, it wasn't gonna be as good as Idina and Chenowith's, but I still liked it and I think the harmony sounds

You have to see Wicked to fully appreciate DG. DG as people already mentioned is the last number of Act 1. Not only is this number visually spectacular, it
is also the turning point of the show. DG is where the Wicked Witch of the West decided to go against the ever so powerful Wizard of Oz. Defying Gravity not
only meant she can fly, but it also meant she defied the most powerful force in Oz - the Wizard. This is the part where 2 sides finally emerges - good vs the
bad. But being good or bad depends on which side you are on.

Yeah, I'm done buying each song individually through iTunes. I'm screwed out of those three songs, and the songs cost me a more than if I had just
waited and bought the CD.

On iTunes you can "Complete My Album" and it should only charge you the difference between what you bought and the full-price of the album. But if
you bought everything when it came out you probably did pay more than you would have paid for the album. I wonder if "Complete My Album" would be
free in that case.

I tried that, but it won't work on the Glee album. I gave SI some wrong advice about that, too. Apparently it's not available for that service. Maybe
it will be in the future.
