I hate the smug "you are just an evil driver person" look they give you when they dart out in front of you at the last moment to let some kid cross.
You can just tell its a moment of self righteous empowerment for them. Assholes. |

The crossing guard by my bus stop when I was a kid was so mean. We weren't even sad when he got hit by a car.

When I was a kid, crossing the street was a blood-sport. There was no guarantee that you would make it to the other side.

I was on Safety Patrol in elementary school. I actually got up early to get to school early every day to help kids cross the street. And stayed after school.
The sad part is that I thought I was hot shit.
The "now" zip woulda been all f-that. |

There is this super fat crossing guard I see all the time after school. She puts her hand up and stares me down the entire time she waddles to the intersection
