He did nothing but beat around the bush as far as his motives and though you may think he put ALL football fans through the will he or won't he crap, it's not the same to those who didn't live and die by his erratic albeit amazing antics every week. He jerked Packer fans around more than he jerked anyone else around. He did it three seasons in a row before he finally said "yes, I'm quitting". He cried and put on this big show and then turned into a big fat baby when Ted Thompson wouldn't let him come back on his own terms. TT isn't my favorite guy on the planet and he certainly could have handled this situation better but the biggest thing was that Brett wanted to run the show. Thompson said "no" and Brett packed up his shit and went to New York. And his playing for New York was all a big ruse too. He only played there because the Packers said they wouldn't cut him loose to play for any team in the NFC North. He wanted to play for the Vikings and the only way he could do was the way he did it! Play for the Jets for a year. Feign retirement again. Get the Jets to release him and there you go.........free to go play for Chilly and "stick it" to Ted Thompson. That is the only reason he wanted to play there. Which is fine except that he's also sticking to his fans who stood behind him when he was a drug addict and when he dad died and when his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Long and short, he fucked his fans. It pisses me off. He's a good football player and I wish he wasn't playing for the Vikings.

This is exactly why it is incredible to have BRETT BY GOD FAVRE as the quarterback of the Vikings. The hurt he has caused Packer fans is perhaps the greatest gift of all (even though GeneOkerlund27 likes some Packers fans like CatNamedRudy =D and has many packer friends!). And after seeing these quarterbacks start under Brad Childress:

and probably some other scrubs GeneOkerlund27 is forgetting of course a competent quarterback is going to be loved.

GeneOkerlund27 always keeps in mind he is cheering for the Minnesota Vikings and know they will cause an incredible amount of heartbreak soon in the dumbest possible way but there would be no greater gift than Brett Favre winning the Super Bowl, retire FOR REALISIES, and then the Vikings retire his number first <3
