why are the dwarf/elf/vamp/wizard porno books written by religious... |

|
CS Lewis, Terry Brooks, Stephenie Meyer... I've never read any of these books but I'm noticing a disturbing trend. Orson Scott Card's books are
the same thing, just with even less plausible stories, and he's also a wacko.

Well if you believe in the sky bully I suppose dragons and elves aren't that much of a stretch.

The Golden Compass was written by an athiest who hates the Catholic Church supposedly. Pullman I think? IDK, it was a shitty movie.

Didn't CS Lewis and Tolkien get into all sorts of theological fights? I thought I read that somewhere back when the first Narnia movie came out.

I'm not sure all the current crop of soft-core porn vampire books are written by religious types. Steven Erickson doesn't seem particularly religious. |

Religion isn't that far removed from fantasy.

true - all that good vs evil
what's kinda weird now is all the once "evil" types (vampires, witches, demons, etc) becoming the good guys I'm getting tired of vampires |

Aslan, a lion, was a symbol for Christ OMG! How did I miss that? |

Aslan??? The Lion ??? I could see that ... Didnt they shave him and leave him naked and beaten and make fun of him publicly . Course it sems like no one here
believes in God so whats the difference to OT. But yeah that could be a direct comparison of what the romans did to Christ.
