I also dont want to see all female alliances on every season as well. What ever happened to those seasons were both men and women have equal chance of being voted off during premerge. Where the cliques in both tribes were not male vs. females. I want tribal structures in future seasons to be similar with this tribes: Sook Jai, Samburu and Drake. Drake's division was between the jocks and the social oddballs. Samburu have the generational thing going on, While on Sook Jai Its the hard workers versus the lazy butts. They must mix the right chemistry of people in future tribes to stop 1 gender alliances. because that being the story on every freaking season will be torturous. We can make a tribe were half of the members are from the snobbish upper class and half of the members were from the lower class. We can make a tribe composed of fanatic Christians and extreme Atheist. Future seasons must guarantee 2 different cliques on both tribes based on the combination of people to stop the division on gender lines. Both tribes must have 4 guys who wont get along and at least 2 girls who wont get along to stop the 1 gender alliances.

We must have 2 guys who can alienate other guys to the highest level or maybe 2 guys who were so pathetically weak. Its the best way to stop all male alliances. All female alliances were easy to stop but what CBS must do in future seasons is to make all male alliances impossible.

Posts: 12573 (10/31/09 6:06 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The real issue is that 3/4 of the pre-merge challenges are all about physical strength (with the occasional puzzle thrown in afterwards) so there's this mentality that if you have a Y chromosome you're absolutely essential for the tribe even if you don't really produce results. Hell, half the reason Ben was voted out (the only male this season so far) was because Jaison threatened to quit otherwise. You would never see a Hunter-type boot these days. The closest would be Joel in Micronesia, but that was mainly for long-term protection after a tribal switch. That said, it's pretty rare that male alliances created for the sake of strength last very long either; the men all get picked off at the merge.

We've seen friendships like Rudy/Rich and Sean/Paschal which seemed very unlikely based on their personalities. Similarly, you would've expected Lisa in Vanuatu to join the older women's alliance due to her age, but she found it easier to make friends with the younger women. Cindi's got it right, they need to stop casting dunces and start predominantly casting fans again. Everything wrong with the show right now can be attributed to the casting and editing teams (and Jeff Probst getting a swelled head, but that's neither here nor there).

The average Survivor viewer isn't a fanboy, and as such has no idea that so many of the cast members are models or actors. The problem is that many of the avid fans (those willing to form and break alliances, make strategic gameplay moves, and have actual personalities) are just not that great to look at. The majority of them are certainly not bikini models and D-listers who work in Hollywood. So I guess it comes down to this: Would the general public be willing to watch a season where the cast is less than attractive (I'm talking some really fugly individuals) in exchange for what might be a fantastic strategic season where we almost every episode is unpredictable, and the plot isn't forced by editing? I'd like to say yes, but I don't know if that's true...

These people never heard of Survivor, so they just assume it's a Dawrwinish, survival of the fittest game. Real Survivor fans would know that it's every man for himself and that getting rid of strong guys early can actually help. Although not TOO early. We saw what happened to Ogakor, Maraamu and Sook Jai when they got rid of their strongest guy first. But that's just a part of the game that will always be there. If you look back at early seasons, alliances were pretty much mixed. Even people considered to be chauvanistic like Rudy and Frank had female allies. In fact, I can't even think of an all same gender alliance (minus Amazon for obvious reasons)

These people never heard of Survivor, so they just assume it's a Dawrwinish, survival of the fittest game. Fiji had the most recruits and look at how many women made merge. JP wanted one in S13 but the Raro women were too smart. The more strategic guys are, the more personality and diversity among them, the less chance of a Galu sausage alliance. RUSSELL Russ shows that even a fat balding villian can do well with the ladies and use them to run the game, if all the other guys are male-oriented. Look how he grabbed Natalie and Ashley ep.1 ,will soon have Shambo and Laura's girls to use against the Galu guys. In S20, I bet Russ is the ONLY guy to see potential in working with Parvati. So Russ goes Black Widow and turns the girls into Russell's Angels. Coach has NO CHANCE when other guys play that way. I bet JT tries to recruit Russell at the merge on the basis of gender, only to get badly burned. Then to the surprise of some other girls, Parv and Sandra use Russell to maintain her standing in the tribe. It's also smart to zig when everyone else is zagging. S16 - everyone is playing Couples or FansvFaves - Parv changes the script. S19\S20 - guys gripped by Arachnophobia - Russ enbraces Parv\Sandra and they play as a team.

Make the sit out rule so that there has to be an equal # of men and women (unless impossible). That way, men and women would only compare to one another, so that weaker males (who may be stronger than some of the females) would have more of a hindrance on the tribe.

They could cast a more diverse range of people with interesting points of view, like any atheist ever, but CBS is family friendly. I know from existing it's possible to put 4 or 5 guys or girls together that can't fucking stand each other.

I know they called it a "merge" at F10, but there was a tribal challenge and only five people went to TC. It doesn't matter what color buffs they're wearing. A tribe is only merged when everyone fights for Immunity and everyone votes at the TC. Fiji basically had an F10 swap like All-Stars and Gabon.
