Like her PI sister and many other winners, Sandra had a huge ep 1. She got the best first confessional ever when she reacted to the "jump off this boat with the clothes off your back" twist:


Indeed. This gave Sandra the opportunity put her magical powers to use.


In reality she's only speaking Spanish because she in fact latina but you would have thought she pulled an entire prefab shelter right out of her ass the way her fellow tribemates reacted to this development. I was ok with that obvious overhyping tho because the bartering led to her second amazing confesh in ten minutes when lesbian shopkeeper (who was clearly the superstar of PI's ep 1) almost resorted to holding Sandra's Drake teammate Trish hostage because she was so effing in love with her:


From that moment on Sandra had my heart.


Sandra's fiery disposition led to some of my favorite Survivor moments ever and in fact I would argue that she was way more entertaining than overhyped cringe-inducing embarrassments Rupert and Fairplay.

Tell 'em girl. Nobody talks shit about Mama Sandra's aquatic capabilities, least of all that toad JFP. Sandra had many run in's with JFP but probably my favorite moment of the entire season happened when, after winning a reward challenge, Drake got scavenge an item from Morgan's camp. Sandra originally wanted a water canteen or something but they hid all that stuff trying to be clever, so she decided she would take the ONLY other thing of value, their tarp.

Bitchy Morgans: "Fine. GET IT YOURSELF."
Sandra: "k ^_^" *rips down shelter*


Bitchy Morgans: "You CANNOT use our knives and do not cut our rope. DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO."
Sandra: "k ^_^" *rips apart roof*
Bitchy Morgans: "Don't rip our roof apart!"
Sandra: "I gotta do what I gotta do ^_^"
Bitchy Morgans: "...."


Sandra: "bye! Sweet dreams! ^_^ No hard feelings k?"

eeepic. The only other moment that compares is when JFP's grandmother lie sent Sandra's bullshit detector into overdrive during the family reward challenge.


Despite EVERYONE else sobbing and comforting JFP, Sandra immediately picked "Thunder D" to walk the plank after answering her question correctly.



At F5 the guys were totally running the show at Balboa and Sandra was next to go if Darrah won immunity, so Sandra pulled the women together while the guys were away at a reward challenge. When they got back she put on an Emmy worthy performance and swore on her kids for JFP's benefit.



<3 forever. This of course led to Sandraownage sweeping the nation and giving Survivor it's first and only latina winner.
