Nice with the marathon. Happily I have the DVDs anyway. The wedding between Charles & Diana was a highlite

The 80's show was so much fun. I'll give the new V a chance.

I'm glad ABC has been promoting the hell out of this, now it just has to not suck. And if we don't see anyone eat a guinea pig, I'll cut a bitch.

Original miniseries marathon tomorrow (Sunday) on SciFi!

It's getting good reviews, but they're going to show four eps and then go away until March?! That worked really well for Lost in the past.

hmm.. V was a favorite for me in the 80's and Marc Singer was my man crush since I saw him play that football player/older brother to dieing leukemic movie
of the week. He was a standout for the time.
The female on this show looks intense, but thinking this will be a shlock filled sci fi drama. C'mon, when has network tv actually put out a decent sci-fi series?? (AFTER the original Star Trek) |

Original mini on SyFy (hate the rebranding) right now. Have the whole damn thing on DVD, but I can't stop watching!
ETA: I'd forgotten how good the stunts and special effects were on this - how much do you suppose they spent on this? Can you imagine how much that would have cost in today's dollars? And can you imagine NBC, which now throws 5 prime time hours away on Leno, shelling out that kind of money for a sci-fi drama today? Guess that's why the new series is on ABC, but the CGI work will be so much less expensive than the physical effects from the original miniseries.

Ok what is the premise for this? I might watch it :)

"Visitors" from across the galaxy come to earth under the pretense of wanting to establish diplomatic relations and to offer their technology in
return for aid in restoring balance to their planet's ecosystem. However, a resistance begins to believe the Visitors have a less honorable agenda, and
that their overtures of friendship are merely an opportunity to establish a fascist state on earth.

I'm looking forward to this, but I'm surprised they would premiere it on election day since most stations cut in during programming with local election
results.
