Then again, who's to say they would be stupid for splitting up? It's an individual game right now and there is no law stating your entire tribe MUST stick together after the merge. Sure, it makes the most sense, just saying it's all a numbers game. If you don't have the numbers, suddenly there are 4 very eager and willing ally mates waiting in the wings.
Still though...why get frantic? Make the smaller tribe sweat. Maybe vote one of them out, THEN bring them in.

I'm confused. How is Galu splintering a bad thing? Does anyone actually want to see Foa Foa Pagonged in the next four episodes? That would be dull as

You know, I had another thought on the promos: What IF Galu all got together and said "hey, when and if we merge with a majority, we'll mindfuck Foa
Foa by all telling them different names to write down so they have no CLUE what's really going on!"
Seriously, I'd want to ditch 2 of them, that way you don't risk the remaining 3 picking up 2 stragglers for a majority at 9/8 or even those 3 + Shamu for a F7 majority or F8 whereby they go 4-3-1 or something. It's all about the numbers and by that I don't mean "me and my tribe make the endgame!" I mean that you get to the end knowing you are pretty much guaranteed F3 based on the people surrounding you. Having to win Immunity at 4 is easier said than done. At 3, anybody's game based on final Immunity. Of course, I would then try my damndest to get somebody to drop out and then go to FTC and comment on their lack of desire to win this game. -SJ™ |

It's a numbers game. Your "side" has to have one more vote than the other side.
In a team of 8 are you # 8, # 7 or # 6 in the vote off order? Are you smart enough to realize that? Can you and # 8 swing to the other side and get at least as far as # 4 or # 5? Maybe into the final 3? This is the time when the smart ones start to jocky for position - look for a goat. |

I can see wanting to get rid of a girl if, say, you are in the Galu Boys alliance. It doesn't effect you as you are only losing a weak player who will likely float UTR. The girls would be more apt to flip to Foa Foa IF, say, Russell/Natalie/Laura comes to fruition and they pull in Monica and Kelly. Get rid of Mick/Jaison/Russell, any 2 of the 3 in the next couple votes. At 10, the remaining 2 will do as they are told, so you ditch Erik or John, one of the stronger guys, then go into 9 with you, 2 Foa Foa, and 2 other Galu. Just tossing random possibilities out there, I love when this game goes Individual. -SJ™ |

For the Galu boys, the best thing for them is to sit tight and let the 3 queens sit pretty until their at 7, then pick them off. Their actions clearly indicate
that that's not the plan. My new theory is that it's because John (who seems to be the strategic leader of that pack) doesn't really believe in
that alliance. It's possible that he wants to get rid of Monica because he doesn't think he can use her to undercut the other Galu boys later in the
game. Otherwise, I don't know what the fuck he's doing because going to Russell to get rid of Monica (as the previews show) is just about the stupidest
thing I can think of (maybe even stupider than Micronesia Eric giving up immunity).

It's possible the Galu tribe is getting ahead of themselves, thinking they are willing to get rid of 1 or 2 of their own people, and still come out with a
numbers game to get rid of FF4. By the time they are ready to vote out FF4, a few of their original Galus might very well flip on them, side with FF4, get rid
of their Galu opponents, allowing FF4 to gain the upper hand, number wise.

Even if Galu splinters and the two groups go after each other, why would they target Shambo and Monica? Neither makes any sense. The women would target the
greatest male challenge threat (probably Erik or Dave) or alliance leader (Erik or John?) and the men would target the obvious alliance leader (Laura). Neither
Monica or Shambo is any threat to anyone -- I'd expect them to be a claissic F4 or F5 kind of boot.

not good at challenges, so at this point, it would be better to keep her around.
