I choose to not judge people, that's just the way I am. I have no clue what Clay's journey was like, but I probably have a pretty good idea (based on personal experience).
Clay did not come out to his mother until 2004 (or maybe even 2005) and his brother until probably 2006. Just my opinion, but it seems he should be given the basic right to deal with his family and his REAL friends FIRST.
May I recommend a book? Please pick up Crisis by Mitchell Gold, it may help in understanding the difficulties faced by gays. Here's a quick snippet of what the book is about:
This book is for: clergy, parents, educators, and politicians who cause harm with their words and actions; parents of gay teens; teens navigating this difficult time; and fair-minded people who want to help end the harm. Here are revealing stories by forty diverse Americans, some well known and some not, plus insights from straight clergy and parents explaining their support of gay people as whole human beings guaranteed equal rights by our ConstitutionOh, and since I've never spoken to Clay, he's never lied to me. Have a nice day everyone.
