Population is 304 million residents. DW's total for illegals was 16 million. That leaves 288.

But are illegals counted in that 304 million?

Yeah, it's a total population estimate.

If you take out the illegals, the population is closer to 285 million.based on? |

304 million was last year's number. According to the census people, The current "happy" total is nearing 308 million. America is beginning to
resemble that over-crowded planet Captain Kirk visited.
Still take out DW's alleged 16 million illegals, and the legal resident population is 292 million. 30 million is more than 10% of 292 million. Still, I do think it's an intrusion of the government to mandate health insurance. I'm one of those paranoid liberals who doesn't like to tell the man what he's up to. |

Why does it matter? Is there some sort of rule that says it's okay to nationalize the health insurance industry when a certain number of people are
uninsured?

Did anybody else catch that Obama fundraising piece on CBS last night? Looks like the honeymoon is officially over.
I'm okay with using the White House as a fundraising tool. If you donate $50k+, you should get to fuck in the Presidential Bowling Alley all you want. What I do have a problem with (and so apparently does CBS) is allowing donors of a certain level not only access to administration officials, but the ability to help formulate policy. If you pony up $300k before the midterm elections, that's exactly what you get. |

from Pelosi's new healthcare plan.
Pg. 1516 regulates vending machines: In the case of an article of food sold from a vending machine that ''(I) does not permit a prospective
purchaser to examine the Nutrition Facts Panel before purchasing the article or does not otherwise provide visible nutrition information at the point of
purchase; and ''(II) is operated by a person who is engaged in the business of owning or operating 20 or more vending machines, the vending machine
operator shall provide a sign in close proximity to each article of food or the selection button that includes a clear and conspicuous statement disclosing the
number of calories contained in the article.

I think one should assume that no food from a vending machine would be considered "good" for you and bypass it anyway.
