I think that it was a TERRIBLE decision to put "So You Think You Can Dance" in the fall. For all its flaws, it works best in the summer, after
American Idol finishes up, and not in the fall, before American Idol begins, especially when you have "Dancing with the Stars" on. Plus, this season,
the talent is good, but not extraordinary, and the personalities are rather milquetoast.

I actually like having it in the Fall. It was kind of a nuisance for me in the Summer, because I had so much going on.

With 10x fewer people, the Canadian branch of the franchise needs American help, so the two seasons can't overlap too much. I'm guessing the Aussie
version has fewer American guest judges and choreographers because of the travelling distance.
A technical question: Jean Marc referred to a kind of lead in partner dancing as being "out in." Couldn't find anything on Google. Can anyone define this or direct me to a site or summat. tia |
