I just tuned in for five minutes to make sure I wasn't missing anything by not watching this. So they cut the best lookin' guy, some twit bitch was
crying and whining instead of talking, and then some weird blonde who was obviously Nigel's paedo-type was worried about whether or not she would make it.

*sigh* Local guy, Jake Guidry, got cut. They never featured him as he doesn't have some kind of sob story. Just an all around nice guy. It's a shame
cuz he's much better looking and talented than some of the guys that made it.

Am surprised that there are no female hip-hop dancers in top 20 this year. Was there any last year?
Where are the Sarahs? And even we had some decent hip hop dancers in Canada, including the first female krump dancer. And I know Bianca was touting the 'first tapper on SYTYCD', but she is at least a few months late on that one (if you include all SYTYCD shows) Everett was cast in top 20 here is SYTYCD Canada this season. And a few weeks ago, our series in Canada had the first tap routine on a SYTYCD stage (per MIA): The girl in this routine only did tap as a child, so proof that they could incorporate tap routines into some of the pairs this season. Definitely added a different style to the regular routines. |

That's a good and fun tap routine , it can definitely be done in the US version. |

All these tappers can suck it. We've already had our "first ever tap dancer in SYTYCD history" and SHE'S BEING IGNORED AND FORGOTTEN
Sandra owns. Eliminated first but STILL holds the title of first tapper ever. |

I'm pretty happy with the top 20, I think. Hopefully this season will be better than the last. Hate that they are going to be using the stage they used in the s5 finale though. I miss the old stage already |

I thought she didn't want to be on because she wouldn't be a judge anymore. Although I could see it being that she's sick also with her saying that
things aren't going her way. Dropping the US show would make her schedule less busy.

Agreed, I know that Sandra totally blew it, but she was a tapper.
The Canada clip above. If they're going to have them tap then they need to mike the stage so we can hear the taps, that's kind of the whole point. |

The viewers have been complaining about no stage mikes all season, and have they corrected that? NOOOOO! The dancers/judges on the show should have known to do
that, even if they don't watch the show back on TV.
I think the push for tapping came from Nigel, the old fart tapper, who's also looking for this season's angle (I think season 4 was the hip hop season). Mia may have been referring to choosing the best dancers as opposed to servicing a theme when she said things weren't going her way. |

Considering it's Mia, I doubt she left for such "honorable" reasons. She was all aboard the hip-hop train in S4 (and remember how she judged Will
and Jessica). She loved Twitch, and we all know how great he was.
She probably took offense to not being the third permanent judge, or losing the emmy, or something stupid... but I am pretty sure Mia is not above servicing a theme. |
