I felt bad for Eman too. But I lol'd at Leah crying about how brave he was.

Everyone forget about the show?? I thought it was really good!! I'm obviously biased but Tara-Jean and Vincent are my favourites <3 their hustle was
actually really good. One of my favourite disco-type ones on one of the SYTYCD shows. Way better than Doriana Sanchez's usual ones. I have no clue what the
order will be, but i think the top 2 SHOULD be vincent and tara-jean. And I will be voting like mad for Tara-Jean tonight!!

Oh, I thought it was great. I know the judges are pimping out the 2 women as the top two and 'actually', I agree. SALT AND PEPPER, they are really
powerful, mature and adaptable dancers. Yes, Vincent is the best male (all Season) but I do think the women are both exceptional. I'd be happy with either
one of them winning. Good Show, hate Jean-Marc!

I missed a lot of it, so I will only comment after torrents. But go Vincent and TJ! Despite this years problems, I feel that the top 2 (even 3) guys are much
better than last year's. I can't say the same for the girls, but that's more of a compliment to last years group than anything.

Yes, these 4 are very strong. I'm really impressed. I just watched the T.J./Vincent dance and it was great. I just don't like the judges pimping out
specific dancers...how shitty does it make the other 2 feel? Jamie-Rae is a very strong dancer and I hate that they keep making her 2nd best to T.J. (who is
equally good) but, the judges need to SHUT UP re: favs...and stick to the critique.

The opening number was completely useless, as was most of the choreo for the night. All the routines seemed watered down, maybe because they all had to do 4
each since the Top 8. ATL hip hop was the only one I liked. The style was more suited to Everett. The hustle could have been faster. The lesbian mambo was
good, but yet again, the girls got the hooker dance while the boys got to be cool. The style favoured TJ. I'm really tired of contemporary/jazz.
On dancing alone, I agree that it would be impossible to have just one "winner." |

I don't know, I think the judges praised Jayme-Rae alot... Tre even said that Jayme-Rae should win, etc. Ofc some other judges suggested that about TJ and
even Vincent, but Jayme-Rae got her fair share of praise. The one I felt bad for was Everett... everyone was kind of lackluster on him, and while he's not
the best, or even as good as some of the others, he's still pretty damn good (esp for a tapper) and should get more credit. Anyways, with Jayme-Rae, as
good as she is... I feel the only real thing she ever does (and does well) is the sexy dances. Think about it. Almost all her dances tonight were sexy or
playing the part of the seductive girl. The only time I've ever seen her not play that kind of part was in the Blake contemporary when she was a bride, and
it wasn't that great so I understand the judges pimping TJ. She's done all kinds of styles/moods/characters and excelled at most, if not all of them.

I found the show lacked luster. Lots of mistakes and out-of-sync dancing.

I thought this was one of the better finales in the 2 US and 2 Canadian seasons I've seen. The choreography was pretty good, and for the most part, really
well performed. My faves of the night were the Vincent/JR dance and the Vincent/TJ hustle. I was so disappointed that TJ stumbled in her first number, because
that would have been a killer routine and probably nailed the win for TJ.
I'm really torn between TJ and Vincent in who I would like to see win. Overall for the season, TJ has been the best and I'd really like to see a girl win this year just to take the stench of Nico out of my senses. But Vincent killed last night and he has been pretty great all season too. I guess as long as they are the top 2, I will be happy. |

I have to admit that I have been pulling for TJ and Everett since week 2 but I think that Jamie-Rae was the best performer of the night. No mis-steps, she
killed everything and really out-did TJ in the mambo. I think that the final 2 are going to be the two girls, a first possibly in any version?

Just finished watching the show from last night and I thought it was mostly a good final four.
I came away feeling like Jayme Rae and Vincent were the winners of the night. Their partner dance was probably my second favorite dance of the season. Good choreo with some really interesting things I haven't seen before and they were so in sync and connected it seemed like even when they moved apart for some segments there was this elastic band pulling them back to each other. TJ was her usual impressive self. It's a real shame she stumbled on her dance with Everett because she was so fierce in that number while he looked like someone who was just there to lift her up occasionally. In fact Everett was stiff with Jayme Rae too and for me he's a distant fourth place. I will say that he was more at ease in the hip hop number than Vincent, especially when they moved into the audience. The girl's mambo was a mess. Jayme Rae and Tara Jean seemed to be dancing entirely different styles. TJ was all about speed and energy while Jayme Rae was more into her performance and attitude. Hard to argue with how strong Vincent has been when it comes to partnering, growth and likeability. However, I feel a girl should win this season and I think I'm rooting for Jayme Rae. She may have peaked too early - Dancehall is still my favo number of the season - but she's had time to peak again in these last two or three weeks. I thought she was week one or two fodder when the top 20 was announced, but she once I saw what she could do she never stopped standing out. Girl has earned it. |

I thought it was a big MEH for a finale. I thought Tara Jean was ahead until her final solo. I thought that was her worst of the season.
The whole show felt like it was in slow motion for me. It should be one of the girls winning. But I am not wasting my time voting. The Mambo really sucked, and I had I hopes for the 2 of them. Much perferred the F4 and F3 female routines. |

Finale saw some of the routines, and now I really do want Vincent to win; his only misstep was the end of his routine with Everett. I'm annoyed with people
acting like the girls >>> guys this year, especially with the final four (where it's even more ludicrous). People are so critical of how the guy
routine went to hell at the end, but how was the female routine any better (they were a mess almost the entire way through)?
I maintain that the only reason the girl's group routines have been stronger so far is because they have been in styles that all the girls have trained in (contemporary and jazz), where as the men, starting from F4, have all been trained in different styles. Now both the guys and girls got routines that were out of their elements, and for once, the girls didn't really outshine the men. JR was better than TJ in the mambo, I must admit, but even then, they were so out of sync for many parts of the routine, and their styles were so different (someone said it best when they said that TJ was going for speed, and JR was going for attitude). The guys at least kept it mostly together until they were off the stage. There have been seasons where I felt the females have eclipsed the male dancers on stage, and I maintain that this isn't one of them. Just because the judges shout it at you does not make it so. It was better than last year's finale, but pretty meh overall. Vincent should win; TJ will win, but it will be a Sabra-esque type win in that it happened despite being the one of worst performers on finale night. TJ's solo was her worst, she was bad in the mambo, and she fell in her jazz. Her hustle was decent, though, as far as hustles go. Oh, and Vincent's solo was awesome. Part of the reason I find him so much easier to root for is that, when compared with the US' male ballroom dancers, he's right up there with the good ones in terms of versatility and solos. But then you compare girls like TJ and JR with some of the better contemporary females... and they don't stack up too well. Look at JR's final solo and compare it to one of Jeanine's latin style solos. I'm not saying Jeanine has a patent on tango-y contemporary solos, but she was a lot better at them. |

TJ's repeated references to her small town -- once accompanied by crying -- is really, really annoying. I sure hope TPTB told her to do that, just so she can't be blamed (I wouldn't blame her for selling out for the cash and prizes). Does anyone know how to nick the videos from the CTV website? I already asked this in the US thread: does anyone know what an "out in" lead is (mentioned by Jean Marc)? Yes, I hope your boyfriend wins, too, timmy ;-) If there was a Miss Congeniality prize, he would get that for sure. |

No such luck. However, it does look like he's turned gay for Vincent. That intellectual ninja, Leah, got to pick a dance, too. I don't remember Kat ever getting to pick one. |

Compare these non-winners with the winners: Adam Lambert, Clay Aiken, Blake McGrath, (possibly) Natalli Reznik...etc. You get the drift. I'm pissed that early bad voting forced me to make decisions and vote this season, and that the TJ pimpage has clouded my opinion of her. This is supposed to be relaxing entertainment, dammit! |

As it got to F4, I really couldn't care less. I think I liked Vincent the least of the 4, even though liltimmy you claim he made no mis-steps. I found him
one dimensional. I did see growth in Tara-Jean and she was OTT happy which is cool. Jayme Rae will be a working dancer and she was the best in my mind through
the series.
Again, remind y'all this is the FAVORITE dancer not the best dancer. And TJ knew when to pull the %@%*! on the small town story to get enough votes. If Vincent wouldn't have been such a fug, he probably would have won. Mia's swan song (or dance) on Canada's stage. I think that would be spectacular to see live, but think I lost a bit of the dancing in the dark clothes and dim lit stage. Buh Bye Mia.. |
