In episode 1, Eric is challenging John in his narrative, and based on the spoilers and John watching Eric gather the II, it would appear that John is responsible for taking down Eric. To me, I don't think that Eric needs to flip with Shambo, he probably just turns his Galu allies against Eric.

Everything still pointing to a tribal with both tribes and nobody being voted out. Only person leaving this week appears to be Russell Swan as he goes down in the combined immunity - reward challenge. Normally there is a huge buildup on the promos and the incident turns out to be nothing. The situation with Swan merits the buildup. I think it would be too much to try to edit the next immunity challenge and next Tribal into this episode but if they do try to get all of that in - Liz is next and after that we merge at 12 with 8 Galu and 4 Foa Foa. Then we see Erik becoming the first boot after the merge and the first jury member in a Tribal that totally surprised the 4 Foa Foa members. Keep in mind there are no family visits so if you are trying to figure out who goes that far by that info - there is no info on that - it didn\'t happen.

The sponsor pulled out cause they didn't want to be associated with anything that could be seen to be potentially offensive to customers.

You're right, the automobile sponsors pulled out with the Cook Islands racially divided season. You would think that with the popularity of this show, they could find an alternate sponsor with an equally appealing prize. Also, not having the family visit is a bit harsh in my opinion, because that's a big emotional boost for those who make it that far in the game.

Being in a rather difficult enviroment such as Survivor i'm sure you long for someone you know and love. Just look at the outback and marquesas seasons. People who seem like they would never cry absolutely melt. I think it's lonliness. As for me, I would never miss my family. I wouldn't even care a bit.
