To me, I don't think that Eric needs to flip with Shambo, he probably just turns his Galu allies against Eric.

Eric's comments in ep 1 about John look to be the foreshadowing that John blindsides Eric. In episode 1, Eric is challenging John in his narrative, and
based on the spoilers and John watching Eric gather the II, it would appear that John is responsible for taking down Eric.

Are you sure this is true?

For fucks sake!!!! As Katy said, stop fucking asking if it's true, that's why it's a spoiler! No one knows if it's true or not until it does or
doesn't haven't!
Jeez! |

Well one thing about John is sure - he is gonna outlast Erik. Everything still pointing to a tribal with both tribes and nobody being voted out. Only person
leaving this week appears to be Russell Swan as he goes down in the combined immunity - reward challenge. Normally there is a huge buildup on the promos and
the incident turns out to be nothing. The situation with Swan merits the buildup. I think it would be too much to try to edit the next immunity challenge and
next Tribal into this episode but if they do try to get all of that in - Liz is next and after that we merge at 12 with 8 Galu and 4 Foa Foa. Then we see Erik
becoming the first boot after the merge and the first jury member in a Tribal that totally surprised the 4 Foa Foa members. Keep in mind there are no family
visits so if you are trying to figure out who goes that far by that info - there is no info on that - it didn\'t happen.

Any idea why there's no family visit?

No idea why they didnt have the family visits or give away a vehicle. I bet by the time these players get to that point - they sure could have used something
nice like that.

I believe the issue with the car is that they need a corporate sponsor to work the car into the show, and after Dreamz's idiocy, no one's been willing
to touch it.

I don't think Dreamz's idiocy had anything to do with the car giveaway not being in the show any more - I think it had more to do with the fallout over
the racially separated contestants in Cook Islands. The sponsor pulled out cause they didn't want to be associated with anything that could be seen to be
potentially offensive to customers.

AussieOriginal wrote: You're right, the automobile sponsors pulled out with the Cook Islands racially divided season. You would think that with the popularity of this show, they could find an alternate sponsor with an equally appealing prize. Also, not having the family visit is a bit harsh in my opinion, because that's a big emotional boost for those who make it that far in the game. |

They should know coming intro Survivor that it's not gonna be easy. I always hated family visits because they tend to make everyone cry which is annoying.

after Dreamz's idiocy, no one's been willing to touch it.Wouldn't be surprised if that is part of it. Who wants to pay big money to sponsor a vehicle, only to have it treated as a cursed object that people lie and cheat over. |

SkyDreamer wrote: I think it's more or less psychological. Being in a rather difficult enviroment such as Survivor i'm sure you long for someone you know and love. Just look at the outback and marquesas seasons. People who seem like they would never cry absolutely melt. I think it's lonliness. As for me, I would never miss my family. I wouldn't even care a bit. |

Not to mention when you're basically starving and living in dirt and being paranoid and stressed to the max it's no wonder these people cry. I know I
cry over little things when I'm stressed out. I can't imagine what they go through, nor do I want to. lol

The family visit was probably scrapped due to the budget cutbacks. Flying out all the relatives to Samoa and putting them up in a hotel probably isn't
cheap.
