Look - it appears some folks here got their teats in the wringer over my thoughts about how "late game connections" are edgically meaningless and how pointless it is when folks discuss the viability of winners without the necessity of actually applying... uh, what's the name of this thread again... oh yeah... edgic to their analysis. "So I guess we can't discuss anyone other than Mick, huh????" That sort of complaint.
Well, no one's stopping y'all from writing long dissertations about Monica or the latest BOW (babe of the week) here. It's just that I don't bother reading them - nor, might I add, do a lot of other seasoned regulars here.
I admit it might be frustrating for us to see so few edgically viable players left. The Russell H/Shambo edits sucked the early-season fun out of this thread, littering the landscape with too many INVs to list. To me this might be a good time to actually try and come up with Type 2 guidelines or some such - see how Danni, Amber, and Bob's edits were similar. Because that's the only thing even remotely edgic-related that I can glean from the majority of recent posts. To wit: If it is a season whose edit is essentially "Why X lost", is the winner's edit consistently different enough that we can figure out some general guidelines?
If it matters, I kinda hope that someone like Dave or Liz (or some other modestly interesting outlier) wins, just because a Mick win - and nothing against him personally - would mean this was the worst sort of season: boring and predictable. In fact, I think I'll root for Anyone But Mick.
Just not in edgic, cuz that's not the point of this arena.
