lol at Bob outlasting Todd, Richard, and Tom at the PollsI think some of that is just that Bob was a recent winner. People have very short memories. Do you think anyone will remember Bob in 2 or 3 years? Love that Sandra is the highest vote getter pre fan vs fav. She is remembered well. |

I would agree with most people that Russell has an advantage b/c people don't know how he played the game. Out of all the people who have played Survivor,
3 have done back to back seasons. Rupert, Amanda, and James. All 3 of them made it at least to the final 7 their second go around. James may have made it a
little farther if he hadn't gotten injured. Rupert made it to the final 4 in ASS and Amanda made it to finals again in FvF. Now if I had to guess Russell
may be more like Amanda. If I remember correctly, Amanda wasn't a very big presence during most of the premerge at China. She was of course known but she
wasn't established as a big character like Rupert and James had been. Therfore when FvF started James was more well known than Amanda. When Russell comes
out no one will know who he is. If the other contestants have half a brain they will be able to figure out he is from Samoa. I would like to see Russell get
his torch snuffed since it supposedly won't happen this season, but I won't be surprised if he makes the finals twice.

^^ 5 have done back to back seasons. BJ and Stephenie did as well as the three you mentioned (and now Russell). BJ didn't make F7.

^^ Good looking, young, under the radar girls never have to play hard to make the merge. Good looking, young, under the radar girls also never have to play
hard to make the final four or five usually, as well. In fact, the most common person to make the final four or five fits this stereotype. So long as
they're not an Ashley and shoot themselves in the foot, they can align with a power player, let him/her take all the heat, and ride coat tails to the end
game.
Where this stereotype has failed, though, is in making a move at seven or five to flip the script and take over the game. Parvati, in my eyes, isn't a deserving winner -- yet. Would that change if she won 20? Almost definitely. But based on her game play to date, and that FvF was basically handed to her via players quitting/getting evacuated/Cirie really running the show... I don't think she earns the kudos just yet. People are not against a young girl winning the game, but people are against the game being handed to someone a la Amber / Parvati. I think that's why Sandra is generally respected a TON. Why? She absolutely worked it to win her season, and seeing her as a potential final three again is great. More than anyone else, I think I'd like to see Sandra win Survivor twice. |

Who did Sandra hide behind? Rupert was gone right after the merge. Christa and Sandra were together so you can't say she hid behind her. Tijuana and Darrah had eachother, Lil had Burton, Burton and Jon had eachother. Parvati did play decent in FvF but regardless she had it incredibly easy for the the fact that there was so many quits and/or injuries from the opposing alliance side. If Amanda and Natalie had to quit or leave do to injury, where would Parvati have been? |

Actually its normally the young, pretty, athletic, blonde girls that leave early, and the boring, mediocre brunettes that make it far by hiding because
brunettes arent as noticed as blondes. S19 is the exception so far with Marisa/Nat.

I think think she was kept around soley for being "non-threatening". You could make that arguement for her staying over Nate but I would aruge Candice/Penner left before her based on the betrayal at the mutiny. There were more factors than just "Who's the most threatening?" when it came to who left in post-merge Cook Islands. Parvati did play decent in FvF but regardless she had it incredibly easy for the the fact that there was so many quits and/or injuries from the opposing alliance side. If Amanda and Natalie had to quit or leave do to injury, where would Parvati have been? There were only 3 injurys/exits outside TC. I hate hearing people say Parv was so lucky because those 3 evictions..but she still had to beat 16 other people. I hear you when you say Parv benefited from those exits but she was swapped to a tribe with her two main enemies so any good luck she had came after some serious bad luck. If Amanda and/or Natalie were injured I would think Parvati would be just fine. She had many more allies than just those two for her to work her way through the dynamics in FvF. |

As much as I think Parvati deserved the win in Micronesia, she did not control the pre-merge. Fairplay basically quit. Cirie stamped her feet so Yau-Man would go home. Parvati didnt see Tribal Council after Yau left till the merge. Yeah but she used the pre-merge time to build her game. She alligned with James/Ozzy on one side, Cirie/Amanda on the other side and Natalie/Alexis as a back up plan after the switch. So by the time she merge her positiong was set in stone. Very few women control the pre-merge. They can't really use the Tom/JT approach which is taking the game by the horns the second they land there and have everyone pave the way for them. Instead, they start from the back and progressivley build their way to the top. Tina is a shining example of this, in fact I'd say her and Parvati played a remarkably similar game. |

i just want to point out that before Jonathon was removed in Micronesia, he and Alexis had a conversation about how Parvati and James needed to be broken up
and Alexis agreed and wanted to work with Jonathon and Eliza. Then Jonathon left and Kathy quit leaving Eliza. With Jonathon gone, Parvati then got her
alliance with Natalie and Alexis. (To me it seemed more like Natalie was on board with Parvati more than Alexis was at first. I think Alexis did want to work
with Jonathon as her first choice). Then Merge, which is when Alexis and Natalie went to work with Parvati. Parvati was smart to get rid of Eliza before she
had any chance of going against Parvati. Parvati had been to TC before the merge, and jonathon and kathy had stayed, she could have been voted out. We will
never know and thus Parvati was lucky she was never in a position to find out. Parvati had a good strategy of getting rid of anyone that might try and get
her. I didn't like that she was even cast for Fans versus Favorites (just like Amber in ASS) but Parvati played a much better game and deserved to win over
Amanda. I would have rather seen a Cirie/Paravti showdown which would have been interesting to see play out. In the end, no single winner will ever be loved by
anyone and will always have their flaws pointed out. Its a matter of personally who likes who. I liked that out of the final 2, the better player won in
Micronesia. Overall, i feel Cirie played the best game with Parvati second.

Parvati was slated to go out first. She made it all the way to the end and WON despite backstabbing a whole lot of people. I think she deserves it.
