While it looks right now that the GOP will win back lots of seats to pick up 54 or more they would almost need an avalanche of bad things to hit the Dems. The one sign that should be worrisome for the GOP is that the 2 frontrunners in the NJ and Virginia races this year are trying to distance themselves from the national party. If the Democrats can succesfully paint Palin,Rush and Beck as the Defacto Leader of the GOP in the 2010 midterm it might soften the amount of seats they lose. |

Pahrump Mania wrote:Yes. But it's not just high unemployment and overwhelmingly unpopular policy that can flip 54 seats. When Nationally their are only about 75-80 house seats in total that are not Gerrymandered to safety to pick up the amount of seats the GOP did in 94 you would need things like the Democrats recruiting worse candidates or some kind of scandals opening up seats you would have never assumed were in play. |

'working together, crossing party lines' nope Yes, because the Republicans have always been open to bipartisanship with BO. The moment he got into office all they've done is go out of there way to oppose anything he puts out there, even if they know its to better the country. I think it was quite obvious Obama tried bipartisanship and all he got back was a shit sandwich, so why the fuck would he continue to cross party lines when the other party acts like a bunch of twats? Are half the people on here even real conservatives? Isn't Sucks a breeding ground for ultra ironic hipsters? These are probably the same folk who championed him in 2004, became conservative when he got elected and then will probably switch back now conservatives seem to some sort of momentum. |

One of the premises of bipartisanship is that your proposals are something that the other party might reasonably support. Obama's idea of
"bipartisanship" seems to be "I won. Do as you're told."

It's a good sign that someone is insecure about their argument if all they can do is be needlessly rude and insult the opposing side in a debate.

If it's a Friday afternoon, it must be time for the Obama administration to release the news it wants you to ignore:
Other than that, have a nice weekend! |

Liquor. Or liqueur, if your cabinet contains only fruity alcohols like Grand Marnier and Midori.
