Plz let Alex beat the fucking shit out of that mongloid George wannabe. It's just a shame Izzy didn't beat the shit out of that ignorant orange c.unt
in the first 5 minutes. She was getting canned anyways.

We we discussing a video today in class that we watched prior that happened to feature people who try to reform gays and make them straight and I was so
tempted to say that they try and pray away the gay.
I second "You can't pray away the gay!" as the thread title. My other favourite line was the much sappier, "I'm a good man in a storm." ETA for anyone who didn't know/doesn't watch Private Practice the cross-over episode with Bailey this week involved the kidney patient from Grey's. So for anyone left wondering what happened after Izzie almost killed her you'll have to watch the ep of Private Practice that aired last night.

I'll spoiler tag the outcome after I finish watching.
Its a good show though. Addison was easily my favourite on Grey's. |

Damn, I really really loved this episode. For me it mirrored a lot of the emotions from the first season. Everyone feeling each other out, finding out how
things were going to work. So much uncertainty and tension, except this time everyone was confident in their own work vs. being insecure.
The guy who worked alongside Christina in the ER was fine. Let him become a main character like woah. Charles, damn, totally hooked me. I was so excited for Iz to find her George again but then it was torn away so quickly. I couldn't believe it. Arizona and Callie are great as always. Iz's scene of getting fired really really hit me. It was just so raw and real for me. Kudos to KH I am excited for the upcoming episodes with all of these new characters. It should be interesting. |

What didn't Izzie say to the boss, "I own the clinic so I will stay on and run it!" Or did she give the clinic up and is penniless now?

Was that Eden from Heroes? Yes, and thank you! It was driving me nuts that I couldn't remember what else I had seen her on. I am excited for the upcoming episodes with all of these new characters. It should be interesting. It should be, but it won't be. They pretty much showed last night that it will be cliche ridden tripe. I wish they would just send the few characters I give a shit about to PP so I could quit watching this shitfest of a show. |

I don't think Iz owns the clinic. She provided the funding, but she doesn't have an income of it.
Wasn't it last week she said something to Alex that between the two of them, they only make around $30,000? |

Yeah Izzie doesn't really own the clinic, she just paid for its creation. You make a good point though that realistically if someone donated like 8 million
dollars (something like that) to build a clinic at a hospital they probably wouldn't be fired. Although nothing about this show is realistic and she should
have been fired after LVADgate so there's no real sense to discussing what would happen in real life.

Wasn't it last week she said something to Alex that between the two of them, they only make around $30,000? We had this conversations a few years ago when they gave out bizarro salary numbers--surgeons don't make a lot until they are attendings--residents should be making about 50k each, not 30k together, I think even interns make more. |

Clearly this show fails at math. Callie was an upper year resident and all of the sudden she couldn't afford food when her daddy cut her off.

The national average for resident salaries is about $40,000 per year. I read it on the Internets.

Where are all of the Head Doctors from Mercy? Wont the new orange A-holes want their superiors with them? Maybe they will start going after Derek and Bailey? Does Mercy West not have a Heart Surgeon specialist as well? I thought the lady who was slightly autistic was from there...It must suck for anyone needing complicated heart procedures to live in Seattle. |

I'm pretty sure they still have heart surgeons (one would hope) but they don't have a "Cardio God" as Christina put it.
The way I understand it this hospital has other doctors in the specialties of the attendings we see, they are just the best and the head's of the department. Like aren't there other brain surgeons besides Derek? He's just the head and the best one. Addison is gone so it would seem they have no neo-natal surgeon anymore either since we don't see one but I would imagine they have neo-natal surgeons, they just aren't characters focused on by the show. |
