Here's why.
Foa was all huddled like a ball in their shelter not wanting to go outside and scramble about the vote. MEANWHILE (horribly edited) they each gave a confessional about how nobody went scrambling because they were cold and wet. So, conveniently, they DID leave the shelter to give confessionals that were, supposedly, not shown because we are made to believe that they were done so in the pouring rain.
But then Ashley gave a confessional about how the rain doesn't end and nobody is talking about the vote while it looked like the sun was coming out. When the HELL did that happen? Was that actually the day after, after she was voted out????

I agree that we are supposed to somewhat take Shambo's side in the poor poor Shambo, Galu are meanies edit, but I don't think it's all THAT
positive. I think we are supposed to see why she wants to switch sides, but the show has made sure we don't actually see this as clear cut bad
Galu/long-suffering Shambo. Even if they didn't realize how scolding and self-pityingly stupid she came across when complaining about people being in the
water or about people doing yoga, they did include the scene of her breaking fishing equipment, which they didn't have to do, and which showed viewers what
a burden she is to the team.

I'm strongly considering giving Monica a 2 rather than a 1 since she had more impact (or potential impact) than the other people who are 1s on the chart
like Kelly, Brett, Laura.

I really felt sorry for Foa Foa (and to a lesser extent Shambo) this episode. I think the editing intent was for us to see Shambo and Foa Foa as the likable
underdogs, one of that group is definitely the winner. If not, I have no idea where the editing staff is going.
Monica seemed negative to me, but like a few other posters said, she is probably one of the last Galu standing. It seems likely right now that Shambo will go over to Foa Foa if she gets the chance to. I still don't see how the remaining Foa Foa last, they will need more than Shambo at merge to get Galu out one by one. On a season like this with twenty players and most likely a final three, when does the merge happen and how many are on the jury? Just wondering... Mick is still my number one pick, he was not that visible tonight and is getting a pretty even edit. If I have to pick two runners up after tonight, I would pick Natalie and Liz, but they are not within Edgic guidelines. Neither is Evil Russell even though I think he will be there in all his glory finale night. I hope he doesn't win, but he is getting a pretty good CPN edit lately. If a Galu person wins it's probably Shambo, although I do not see her fellow tribe mates voting for her. Maybe Erik has a shot with the idol, but I don't think so. I'm glad you are doing better OTH, we miss you around here! I also miss CL's posts, hopefully he (?) is back posting soon, too. |

NOBODY has really been P the last several episodes.
Characters are either too UTR, too Bland, or too N. Formerlly Good Russell and Jaison have taken a downward turn. We've seen the IC-dominating tribe get screwed or fall apart the last two seasons, so I can't muister up much a "let's root for the underdog just because" for Russell and co. |

As was mentioned, I definitely saw set-up for a Monica vs. Shambo type of story somewhere near the endgame. Strong males usually get voted off right around the
merge anyway so it would not be a shock to see all of the (UTRN) Galu girls left with Shambo + a few Foa Foas and for them to all get picked off with Monica
the last of the group. If not her up-and-down ratings, game logic should eliminate Shambo as a Contender because from what we've seen, she cannot win a
jury vote with a Galu-dominated jury. That doesn't mean she can't be in the Final Three though. That could still be a possibility, like Sugar.

Just to chime in on the Galu girls, I'd give Monica UTRN2, Kelly UTR1, and Laura UTR1 or maybe just INV.
Again, to clarify Monica's N, she was EDITED negatively, whether or not it was deserved (not, in my opinion). And uhh...isn't that what edgic is all about? I was watching with someone who has only seen Tocantins/this, and he was all "omg what a bitch" when they showed that comment Monica made at the challenge. |
