He's likely hiding because he assumed his dad would get mad at him for messing with the balloon. From what I read about the father, he's a bit of a hothead, so it would make sense for the kid to take off and hide. Little guys like that can hide really well.

I seen them pictures of that balloon, and that ain't no balloon, it was one of them flying saucers. The story about a little boy inside it was a hoax that was made up by Obama Osama Yomama so we would not know the true story and as soon as I find out the true story, I will call CNN and appear on Nancy Grace to let everyone know. Now, I am going to go get drunk.
