I will say that idle teams should tend to fall in the rankings if in the top 25 because usually good teams win and that boosts their standing. I do the same thing relatively speaking but the actual amount varies. I am curious as to what the coaches reasoning was for USC jumping ahead of Boise State this week. Was USC's win over BYE more impressive than Boise's win over BYE? |

The times for the two SEC games I included this week were listed as 'TBA' when I initially copied the schedule a number of days ago, so I checked them this morning to see if they'd been announced; I apparently transposed the times I found between the two games when doing so. As an FYI to all, here are the posted start times for these two games: 3:30 PM ET Arkansas at Florida 7:45 PM ET South Carolina at Alabama |

You're welcome Atypical Male- probably not a big deal about the correct time ( well for me it is) and I was probably being nit picky, but I am a stickler
for details. The Gators play against FIU on 11/21 and it is on PPV, I just cannot see that game being worth getting on PPV, might just have to find a bar
that will be playing the game.

"I am curious as to what the coaches reasoning was for USC jumping ahead of Boise State this week. Was USC's win over BYE more impressive than Boise's win over BYE?" The answer IMO lies with SOS and with the fact that the coaches know BCS schools vs non-BCS schools are different breeds. And, they know the hidden situation regarding recruiting, facilities, scholarships, etc. However, in my rating that would never happen because the two schools each did not play so neither would have gained points nor lost points. The difference is teams moving above them but they would stay in position one above the other though the positional gap could differ (shrink). Now, back to the beginning. Boise has Tulsa this week. Maybe a good game, but hardly Top 25 caliber. USC has Notre Dame which has a lot of power.......wait, I said Notre Dame? OK, hardly a Top 25 caliber game. (Yes folks, Notre Dame is my first hint to shock within my rankings. Another is Miami (Fla).) Bring on the Cleveland Plain-Bagger or whatever the name is? Is it Bill Livingston???? Where's your Top 25? Here's mine coming into this week's games: Jaguar's Top 25 for Week beginning 10-12-09 1 Alabama 6 - 0 2 Florida 5 - 0 3 Virginia Tech 5 - 1 4 Iowa 6 - 0 5 Boise State 5 - 0 6 Texas 5 - 0 7 Oregon 5 - 1 8 Ohio State 5 - 1 9 USC 4 - 1 10 Nebraska 4 - 1 11 Cincinnati 5 - 0 12 Penn State 5 - 1 13 Auburn 6 - 0 14 LSU 5 - 1 15 BYU 5 - 1 16 Kansas 5 - 0 17 TCU 5 - 0 18 Texas Tech 4 - 2 19 Georgia Tech 5 - 1 20 Houston 4 - 1 21 South Florida 5 - 0 22 Oklahoma State 4 - 1 23 Oklahoma 3 - 2 24 Pittsburgh 5 - 1 25 West Virginia 4 - 1 Now for some well deserved sleep. |

No matter if "he" is in ATMs game, he wouldn't be winning it and "he" wasn't winning it when ATM said he wouldn't read his posts and therefore wouldn't record "his" picks. That being said, "he" can still post "his" picks if "he" wants to IMO. Oddly enough "they" look like all favorites to me. Not that that's bad as I've been known to do that before. |
