By the time they're done, the poor creatures will probably need a nice long vacation... probably in a place with no access to potentially harmful objects, being waited on and having psychiatric medications personally administered by nice men and women in clean white coats, and enjoying daily group therapy sessions and doing arts and crafts projects. I know this is the wrong place to post this and I completely agree that Gokey is a douche and quite hideous looking BUT
he's a very good singer (in person). He and Adam (for pure vocals) should have been the final 2 of S8. That said, please go on with the hate. |

He sounds like Elliot Yamin, if Elliot A) couldn't sing and B) thought he was God's gift to the music world. And let me add two rarely mentioned
criticisms of Gokey. Like many other somewhat delusional white Idol singers (Justin Guarini, Katherine McPhee), he thinks he sounds black. He doesn't.
Also, he is the ONLY singer in Idol history to make it all the way to the top 3 without ever giving a SINGLE good performance (Mantasia came very close, but
she did do a nice version of Summertime, somehow managing to sound like Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald simultaneously).

I met with a friend tonight who had met Danny Gokey while at a concert and remarked how friendly and genuine he acted toward her.
I was disappointed... and skeptical. |
